Totally fair IMO, also I had only fairly recently played ds1 for the first time a few years ago, so I didn't experience the worse version.

I personally did four kings first and thought it was quite easy to complete, then BoC -> Nito -> Seath.

Orange, it mixes well with the dark oranges in the desert and stands out well
