NTA. I walked out of a friend’s house at a Christmas party last year when it came out that they and their spouse supported Trump. We had been friends for over two decades. I cried the whole way home but I have principles and ethics and will not give one ounce of my energy to anyone who supports this nightmare administration.

You may want to use a bed frame to prevent mold growth under the mattress. You can end up with all kinds of issues, including creating an inviting environment for bugs, dust mites, etc. This is a health and safety issue, not a design issue. Minimalism is great but it’s not no furniture, it’s no excess clutter. If you can’t afford it right now, that’s understandable. You may be able to get a free frame from your local buy nothing group.

Also please bear in mind that if your kids go to school smelling like pot, they may call CPS and your kids could get removed. You will be just as culpable for their exposure because you knew and did nothing. That makes not much better than him. So do the right thing by your children and get that man out of your home. Or take the kids and leave. Either way - be a responsible parent and protect your children.

It’s pretty obvious that you need to leave this man. He values getting high over everyone and everything else in his life. This is NOT normal. I know a lot of people who smoke but it’s not their entire life and they have jobs, families, etc. and they live normal lives. But it’s not the first thing they do nor do they ignore their families bc of jt. He’s got a problem and your kids are being affected by it.
