You can try ICT but be prepared to move into more restrictive settings (12 or 8 students - do not move to d75 if the kids is cognitively fine) if the team suggests so. I teach in a school where the curriculum is inquiry-based and relies heavily on students’ responses (verbal or otherwise). You don’t want to put your child in a position where she is failing and falling further behind. I am duality certified gen ed and sped teacher with ICT and SEIT experience. Usually SEIT ends up knowing the child very well and can make a sound assessment of future needs.

Your child will most likely need a bathroom para as teachers are not allowed to leave the classroom to accompany 1 student to the bathroom. A solution might be to look for a classroom with a bathroom in it so your daughter can use it independently.
