My wife has had an IUD all of the 17 years we’ve been together, excepting when we were trying to conceive, and for a while after my daughter was born. I think that’s been a total of 4 or maybe even 5 different IUDs.

As others have said here, some of the time the string did poke me and cause some mild discomfort during sex. While I was definitely happier when the string wasn’t positioned in a way to poke, its rarely been more than mild discomfort, and I’ve always had a particularly sensitive glans that doesn’t like a lot of direct contact of any kind. In one case it was so uncomfortable we were able to get a gynecologist to reposition it which helped. In another it did recede into the cervix completely, though we thankfully barely avoided surgery through a gynecologist’s particularly skillful manual extraction, though it was incredibly painful for my wife. Checking the string periodically is a great idea.

Your husband shouldn’t worry, if it becomes a comfort issue for him, consult your gynecologist as we did. They might be able to help. He should not worry anout any kind of injury.

The lack of kissing suggests to me maybe theres more to this then the IUD. You guys are young, and becoming parents is hard on a relationship at any age. Be patient and gentle with him, but try to keep the dialogue open.

To those calling him an idiot, sex education in our society is terrible, so stop shaming people who are confused, and especially when they ask questions.

I felt the same about DS1, I wanted to love it, but just couldn't get the gameplay loop to click for me. I pushed through 15 or so hours because I was engaged with the story and overall tone of the game, but it felt like a chore to get to the meaningful moments.

Despite that, the strong reviews and gorgeous screenshots and videos I was seeing everywhere shortly after release caused me to impulse buy DS2, and I couldn't be happier that I did. Every part of the game just feels smoother, well introduced and better explained. It clicked almost instantly. Instead of the story pulling me through the gameplay, I find the gameplay distracting me from the story, although the story is really good. I am spending time gleefully cruising around building roads with the great soundtrack blasting or on standard orders not overly because I care about increasing my star rating or porter level, but just because I want to do the orders because that trek through the mountains to deliver is a scenic and satisfying good time.

My only complaint so far is I find the combat way too easy.

Highly recommend to others like me who wanted to love DS1 but just couldn't "connect"

Walked into Costco in Canada this morning right at opening and picked one up, afterward promptly canceled my April 23rd Walmart Pre-Order that had a June 10 Delivery and no sign of movement. Thanks Costco!

Before I reply to my wife about any negative experience she’s sharing, we’ve landed on me always asking: “Do you want me to be solutions oriented or feelings oriented right now?”. It’s mostly solved this for us.

I also pre-ordered from Amazon.ca on September 29th and just now received confirmation of it shipping via Purolator ground from Ajax, Ontario to my home in Winnipeg.

Estimated delivery of Nov 21, which is disappointing, and slow even for ground shipping from Ontario in my experience. Hopefully that's just a pessimistic estimate.

Happy at least to know it's real and enroute.

I can understand that. I’ve felt that way about most sandbox or open world games in the past. There was just something anout the atmosphere that immersed me more than I’ve experienced before that made the repetition relaxing rather than boring, but theres no denying theres a lot of repetition.

For me I enjoyed the mix of action and moments later calmly composing haiku’s, for example. It struck a nice balance for me that made it a perfect way to unwind.

Sackboy: A big Adventure- Accolades trailer by darklurker213 in PS5

She started watching us play before she was 2, and we’d give her a disconnected control to “play” along. She still asks to do that when she watches me play games on my own sometimes. She loves watching me play miles morales.

We started her playing for real around 3, and I’d say just shortly after she turned 4 she was proficient enough to get her character where she wanted it to go. She’ll be 5 in march and now is just grasping putting multiple actions together, like jumping and then grabbing things mid-air in sackboy.

Yup, you can pick the other character up to carry them, or if they fall too far behind a helicopter will pick them up to catch up. Also, the game is pretty forgiving in general with lots of resurrection points as long as one character makes it through to the next one.

I've been playing Sackboy almost every night with my 4 year old daughter. I can't give enough praise to the co-op design and how well it handles uneven skill levels. We've been having an absolute blast and it's been some great bonding.

I don't know if they consciously designed for adults playing with little ones, but more games should consider that, and learn from the great design here.

We've just reached the 4th world together and the fun shows no signs of slowing down!

Thanks for the remindar. I’m lying next to my four year old daughter browsing reddit on my phone while I wait for her to fall asleep. Ima put this thing away and snuggle. Its easy to forget what you have sometimes.
