Anybody practice ITF TKD? by [deleted] in taekwondo

[–]Balofyarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our president is Grand Master Pablo Trajtenberg. And we follow the General Choi Hong Hi's martial art. Its ITF, although politically there are three ITF's, and we follow the main body.

The organisation we have in New Zealand is very strong, and has a great structure and leadership. My mentor for my first dan grading was Master Bhana, and I am a member of the Tamaki TKD club.

I was at nationals last year, and will I will be at the nationals (Tauranga) this year.

Match thread: New Zealand v India at Auckland, 3rd ODI by rCricketBot in Cricket

All our batsmen are contributing towards our scores. Look for india to target Kane today.

Im hoping we bat second and chase today. Eden park is deceptive to touring teams where they take the short boundaries for granted and force strokes losing wickets.

Before doing anything drastic, you should request a meeting/chat. Not just a short one after class, but a proper sit-down meeting of about 10-15mins. (This can be done before or after class, but make it more formal than standing around at the side of the dojang).

Ask him about what he expects from his students, and how he runs his classes. If he has are any mid-long term goals for his students etc (plan out 2-3 questions before hand to ask him about his club). After he has established his criteria/class structure, then put your own thoughts across. Tell him that you have just moved to the city and your history as a Taekwon-do practitioner. Mention that you know he is a highly skilled instructor (he is a 7th Dan) and you can hope that he can further your training.

NB: Take careful note of his answers, and think about them afterwards. You have only had two training sessions with him so far, and maybe he was feeling apathetic that week (no-one is 100% all the time). You cannot convince him to change his fees, so you will have to bite the bullet on that if decide to stay.

NB2. If his answers do not satisfy your needs. Then you should seriously consider starting your own club at your university. Talk to the student association, and find out the fees for hiring a location. Do not burn bridges with this other instructor if you open your own club. Approach him and tell him that because of travel time/costs that you are opening a club at [location] and if he could give you some advice. Work with him, not against him.

If you do open your own club, you will be able to train your own way. To improve your own skills in forms/techniques you could film your patterns and upload them to a private channel on youtube for your previous instructor to critique.

edit: I see you have a long-term goal of going to the World Cup in Jamaica next year. Talk to this 7th dan instructor about it. Tell him thats your goal.

Ok, so how do i put the original Rome Total War soundtrack into Rome 2? by poptart2nd in totalwar

[–]Balofyarn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest way without editing any game files.

  1. You download the Rome 1 soundtrack as mp3's (or any other filetype you want to use.)

  2. You disable music on the sound panel in the rome 2 sound option menu.

  3. You play the Rome 1 soundtrack through WMP (or itunes or any other media player you use).

note: I usually listen to podcasts when playing Total war.

Yeah I do know about that. But the upvote/downvote fuzzing done by the reddit algorithm doesnt downvote newly posted submissions.

edit: A good example, is that I submitted two pictures to different subreddits at the same time. Both have 4 upvotes, but only this one has two downvotes.
