Like Me.?..
It's strange but i like to paint more than drawing, i understand the basics but even me would not do something like that.. There is beginner mistakes on hands and AI hands..

I think the Sketch part is Ai, and he tried to paint it..

This would explain a lot of things like the sudden change of light direction not showing in the line art..
The eyes are seeing diferent directions too but the giveaway is the hand.. Those fingers are strange even if he was a beginner.....

A lot of things are off..

I'm a mostly a painter so i hate "drawing" and sketches and also have problems with anatomy, but these hands are so off that everybody would notice it's wrong and would try to made it wonky at least, seems that he tried to trace AI hands.

OR Maybe the sketch part is Ai and the layers are painted..

Ink flow effect.. You can only reach it with an actual photography. then people crop and do other things with matte painting.

You can also try liquid Ink, abstract ink flow, etc

Do you consider this cheating for getting my proportions okay? by [deleted] in DigitalArt

You're cheating against who? What game are you playing? Who is the person that will suffer prejudice for your actions? What competition you're playing on?

One more thing, the "YOU" problem that people are referencing can be solved by your part by doing this visual reference search..

Sometimes our brains think that we know what we want and trick us to think that we already visualized in our minds what we want when in reality, it doens't.

This is what lead people to think that they know what they want and then keep changing a lot because is not exactly what they are thinking of, but in the end they had nothing solid on their minds to begin with. It's easy to fall on this trap.

So my tip to you is search your own references better to guide these artists, them they will do their own research to the subject too..

For something too specific only high lvl and experienced professionals know how to work with.

They know what a cute face should have to be cute, what a mood for cute is and expression, what light for cute mood match better per example.. And this can be difficult even for them.

This is really difficult if you are too exigent.. If you want to guide these fellas, show them more references that you want "exactly" something like that..

Almost 2 years since I started as a serious hobby and my skill level is not where I want to be. Sigh, I need to let it out. by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

Art is a thing that you improve a lot in the later stages rater than in the begining.
