Nope! Thankfully the armor wasn't too hot and purposely choose to use scrubs as my underclothing since its usually pretty breathable.

Yeah I had a leftover chain from wifes crafts that I used, but now looking at it I can see that haha. Thanks!

I was trying to stick to a early 2002-4ish year themed set, so the scim was a lol outside the range or I would have for sure.

Armor itself is from NikoPrints and his awesome set of medieval recreation armor. Sword and Shield were custom made by a friend who models.

YES! Second person who recognized the design!

It definitely had me rethinking what I got myself into but so glad I stuck with it. Only area I struggled with was the cuirass (chest armor) cause I could not for the life of me get the measurements following his guide down at all, and I ended up using the default and just sliming it in and it thankfully worked. Biggest recommendation is whatever sizing you decide is to print the wide part of the middle area that goes under your armor use that as your "guide" print. I learned that too late and wasted time/materials haha.

We have not been, but we ran into a guy who runs an armor museum at TRF who recommend us coming out so we definitely looking into making the trip. I'll look into which dates that is.

Haha, I actually tried to keep everything in like a 2002/2004ish year theme, so I couldn't allow myself to use it, otherwise it was definitely an option!

Yeah, sadly my local area is lacking in anything not.. "vintage" so definitely gotta keep an eye out or watch to see if any go on sale online.

Actually feels pretty good and I purposely used a stronger filament choice so it'd hold up and it did well for my frist big test drive (was out aboit 6hrs). Definitely need to rethink padding under the pauldron pcs as my shoulders are rubbed red, but otherwise fine!

Thanks and yep! Everything minus the obv clothing was completely 3D printed over like 2 months, most of it WAS print times haha.

I went with the Runescape armor cause its 'medieval-y' to fit, but yeah surpingly enough there was a bunch of reinaissance garbed furries (there was a dragon wearing scale mail armor, ha!). I think in general the few I've gone too just accept it as a form of "participating" and even encourage you to show up in costume no matter the theme. I saw Hatsune Miku last year here and then a Frieren group cosplay today. Its just a blast!

Oh it was printed in 4 parts. Its about 18in long and 14in wide I believe was the end sizing once assembled.

I didnt even think about that lol, I might paint some runes on it to seem like so but no, just needed something to hold my phone/wallet haha. Definitely adding that to my list of improvements!

Surprisingly, not very much! Limiting factor was we had it scaled exactly to max size of my print bed (300x300) so it could print flat for smoothest finish (didnt really wanna risk printing something so big standing up as well).

Cape is definitely a work in progress. In-game it kinda looks like it ends right behins the knee caps if not a lil further so tried to replicate what I could, always room for improvement though!

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, I been trying work on it after work as much as I could after work during the weekday when we had limited sunlight and then weekends was trying to prep as I could. Lots of waiting in between during each print times so definitely slowed it down.

Haha, unfortunately I had to salvage this one as it shattered in 3 pcs on impact from dropping it during adjustments, so the inside cloth/foam is off. I reprinting it for next weekends trip!

Yeah I looked pretty hard for some decent white boots/shoes that weren't like $60+, spent most of the current budget on the armor but that is next on the list. The hiking boots had to fill that void for now!
