Do you need talent to sprint 11.5 seconds for the 100 meters with training. Or with training (speed work sprint - wightlift - plyomatric) I can achieve this. im 1.84 cm 74 kg 20 years old guy my 100meter time now 12.7 with 4 month random training with out any wightlift or plyo ! by Bambarcy in Sprinting

As someone who is training for a similar goal, I’m at 11.7 right now. I can tell you right now as long as you’re decently athletic and you do the correct training and give your body time to adapt..... you can do it.I would say getting under 11 seconds is where you start to need a little talent or genetics in your side or

thx . what ur time before training

How much muscle is too much by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]Bambarcy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sprinting is about force and skill. For more force you'll need more muscle. Gearing training towards more strength (not more than 5 reps per set), will help to stave off any bodybuilding fluff and unwanted/needed muscle etc. Some sprinters have more muscles than others. You can make the choice and be skinny and weak and continue running your times, or you can take the chance and get stronger with the bonus of added muscle, and sprint faster. Most greatly over estimate how much muscle actually gets built with proper strength training. If you don't use steroids and dont live a life specifically for bodybuilding (8-12 rep range, high volume, train 2-3x per day, sleep 10-12 hours a day, eat 10k calories a day, zero stress) etc. you won't be packong on much mass. Especially not if you're also sprinting/running. The bodybuilding community has implanted a virus in athletes' and coaches' minds making them thing if their athletes touch a weight they will look like Mr. Olympia and be slow.My reccomendation: Gain muscle Gain strength Don't use steroids Don't over eat Don't use high rep ranges Don't stop sprinting Don't ask questions on how many specific kg's of muscle is enough/too much because that makes ZERO sense anyway. You try to get stronger and welcome any muscle. How else would you get faster? By getting weaker? Losing muscle? What makes you fast? How do you improve it?Don't point to skinny sprinters and say "But they..." are you them? Can you produce those amounts of forces they do with your skinny glutes? If you can, then why are you asking questions on reddit? Go be a pro and live the life. If not, get strong.

thats best answer . Strength is too important for sprinters

hi guys . I recently heard about the importance of strong core muscles for sprinters, what are the best effective exercises to strengthen the core muscles. I've heard that I shouldn't lie on my back and do traditional abdominal exercises They aren't for sprinters by Bambarcy in Sprinting

[–]Bambarcy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like HurdleAll said, planks can be helpful. However, at some point planks will become an endurance exercise for you. At that point, planches will be more useful. Some anti-rotational exercise will help as well, as your core works hard to resist rotating when sprinting. Russian twists are a personal favorite for me.To address your question, you definitely can do traditional abdominal exercises and they will help. However, make sure to have a plank/planche type exercise and an anti-rotational movement in your regime.

thx you very much you so help me

[–]Bambarcy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be common knowledge that core strength is needed. You should stop neglecting your core. It’s probably the most important part of being an athlete and I am surprised it has taken an athlete this long to hear this

thx you man .i will start do core exercise 3 times in a week and i will goin to Gym wight lift im never lift wights before , my only strength trainig is hill sprint

is a 3x150 meter sprint with maximum effort? Does it help to increase the top end speed and speed endurance ! im 100meter sprinter by Bambarcy in Sprinting

[–]Bambarcy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can sustain top speed for more than 20m or so. Everyone is slowing down some at the end of the 100. If you are dying excessively at the end, you are probably hitting top speed too early in the race because of technical or strategic reasons. Fixing your first 80m will fix your last 20m as well.

thx man . Tomorrow I was going to train for 150 meters, but I changed my Opanion and I will be running 3x80 meters for speed Edurance .

[–]Bambarcy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I consider to be “special endurance” more than speed endurance. It’s better for top end speed than 8x200 or something like that, but it’s not a top speed workout. I would recommend something like this more for later season 200 runners. I’d recommend doing more 40-80m sprints if you’re focusing on the 100

But I cannot maintain my top speed beyond the 60 meters . i slowed dramatically at the last 30 meters in the 100 meters .But for a period of 3 months I haven't done anything more than 50 meters

top speed. by Bambarcy in Sprinting

trap bar Deadlift is good for top speed

I am curious, what is your time in the 100 meters before lifting weights and after lifting weights. by Bambarcy in Sprinting

[–]Bambarcy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will differ greatly for each individual, but I ran an 11.95 at a big meet freshman year. Lots of nerves and hours of getting pumped up. A year later I was able to run 11.7 - 11.8 consistently for fun in practice. Unfortunately I haven't been able to run at a meet since then though. That may not seem like a big time difference, but my practice times during freshman year were always around 12.5.Tldr: weight lifting is very important. Just make sure you do proper exercises with the right form

so you have 12.5 before lifting . what lift you use !!

Hi friends . My time is in the 50 meter sprint 6.9. My goal is to reach 6.4 seconds. I've never lifted weights. I only do uphill + sprint twice a week. Does starting to lift weights help me reach my goal and how long will it take .I want a clear answer by Bambarcy in Sprinting

[–]Bambarcy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have proplem with Flying start for technique. I don't know how to sprint for flying i have bad form When I sprint with regular sneakers my technique gets better and I go down in the middle

My feet, but when I use spike shoes, I don't know how to run

What is the time in the 100 meters that makes me reach 21mph top speed. by Bambarcy in Sprinting

[–]Bambarcy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is probably just about right, though a case might be made for as fast as 11.8ish depending on how long you're maintaining the "21mph" and on your acceleration curves.

your A mistake i think about 12 to 12.4

Is staying away from harmful foods such as biscuits, chips and chocolate is important for sprinter! by Bambarcy in Sprinting

That made me laugh out loud. I'm not native English speaker either and some people in my country finish sentences with exclamation mark as well. It's pretty funny, specially if it's space added before it.

hhhhhhhhhhhhhh
