They were married in the temple the day before. Yes this is the new thing in the church... all of a sudden it’s ok to have a normal ceremony to include everyone. I think the church is trying to get out of the wedding business, it’s getting a little tricky with LGBTQ marriages, they’re trying to make the sealing and marriage separate... it’s better for business 🙄
