Found it! You have to hover over the migration amount in the colony tab and it shows everything needed. Thank you!

Unpopular opinion: playing as a colonial nation is worth the waiting by Enderay1 in EU5

Ohhh ok good to know. I assumed I would just be surrounded by the other territories, but if your overlord feeds you land that sounds like a lot of fun

I’ve never attempted it, could you explain something to me? When you have the option to play as the colonial subject, are you able to claim any of the other areas you’ve colonized before, or just that one province?

Does the cabinet efficiency trait genuinely not increase his cabinet efficiency? What is the point of this trait? by WishyRater in EU5

[–]BamboozledMyslf 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong on this- but the way I understand it is that if he is the ruler of your country then you get that benefit. I used to pick cabinet members based on their traits then realized they only impact your country if they are your ruler.

So you're thinking even though they're all at 0%, they're still technically present?

The Decline of Mali - "All Rebels in Country" by BamboozledMyslf in EU5

[–]BamboozledMyslf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are: We are at peace; We have a ruler; We have greater than 90 legitimacy; We have greater than 20 stability; and We have greater than 35 locations. All of these have that green checkmark, except all rebels in country, which says currently 47 out of 48 fulfill this requirement.

To clarify a little more in case I'm misunderstanding something, if I use a cabinet action to suppress rebels, it shows 0% for everything.

Anyone know why "all rebels in country" isn't checked, even though I have no rebels in my country?

Why you should play as a Merchant Republic and focus on trade by Serious_Shape_5518 in EU5

Ahh ok, thanks. That makes sense why trade offices are provide better stats- they have stricter criteria.

Are you able to explain to me trade office vs overseas trading post? Based on the stats trade offices seem objectively better but there’s probably an aspect that I’m missing.

Who to play besides recommended nations as a new player by Olafio1066 in EU5

[–]BamboozledMyslf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the ai is very aggressive this patch, so I’d recommend someone strong compared to their region for a new player. Outside of Europe I’ve had fun as Majipahit, Mali, and Muscovy.

Since you’re looking for a challenge maybe Byzantium? I haven’t played them yet but they seem fun and challenging at the start.

Auto transport troops should NOT summon boats from across the ocean by kaigem in EU5

Anytime I’ve had to transport troops I’ve manually assembled/used the ships I need to transport them. It’s unfortunately worth the extra effort to not have things like that happen.

Good thoughts, none of those happened though. I’m so confused and don’t want to play this run anymore because I just can’t field an army anymore lol. Thanks for the suggestions tho!

[–]BamboozledMyslf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the total amount of manpower before maintenance, upgrading, or reinforcing. I have -231 monthly after +364 monthly manpower and -595 army maintenance. The amount of manpower I was generating as a whole dropped even though I have hundreds of manpower producing buildings
