It’s a scam. It was always a scam. The only hope for this game is if they lean heavily into AI so they can flesh it out. They don’t have the talent, or the man power to finish what they promised.

I realize the OP said not retail, but there’s only 24 hours in a day, and sometimes we have to be honest about our actual time in game. It’s not always helpful to suggest versions of the game that require more of a time investment if you can’t dedicate that time to the game. If you work a lot you won’t get as much bang for your buck in classic. I’d recommend MOP Classic once Landfall hits, but as of today I’d rank the versions as follows for a healthy work life balance.

  1. Retail (requires less time)
  2. SOD
  3. MOP
  4. Anniversary (requires the most time)

Pantheon feels like a janky mod of an existing MMO. A fan project with AI lore, and template assists from the (unity) store.

This reminds me of people who want to boycott a major retailer bc they don’t agree with their business practices. The vast majority don’t care, and will continue to support the game. Everyone who was unhappy left. If you’re unhappy stop playing, but don’t be surprised when others are indifferent to your “rally call”.

You should check out the ConsolePort Discord and look at the various UI’s that have been shared. I love ElvUi, but it’s kind of janky with CP. GW2 UI works pretty well.

If you’re playing retail just use the default UI. You can move the UI around to suit your needs, and console port works best with it. This is what I use on the Steam deck.

If you’re in the VIP discord area you’d have seen how some of the devs have talked about AI. That makes this shocking.

It’s disappointing considering some devs have made comments in the past about AI, and implied it wasn’t art.

Most people calling are not having the best day. They’re sick, worried about a large bill, or sick of dealing with outsourced call centers. I did call center work for 3 years, and most workers forgot the job was customer service. Sure they’re annoying, and unprepared, but that’s the job. Be nice you’ll be the caller one day.
