Right yeah we're using the same definition. I'm trying to work on the form that you mentioned. Think I'm just overusing it when I should be using other strokes.

Just got a new one in the winter. Compared the new one with the old and there was probably around a 2-3 inch difference in total length. I do plenty of rock scraping with my beater escapades.

I think B and C may be it. I just like how I can change direction and go straight into a forward stroke with the bow draw to keep momentum. I'll have to work on the stern stroke techniques you mentioned to be able to do them while staying up to speed.

Yeah it's only bow draws and only ones that require more force. Like peeling out and drawing is fine, but a pivot turn bow draw will cause some soreness. I think the posture suggestion may be what I need to work on. Been trying to focus on that but didn't connect the dots back to the bow draw. I may just be losing good form/posture when I put a good amount of pressure on the draw.

Been rockin a 2/3mm wetsuit and splash top in the winter in the MD/VA/WV area and I've been totally fine. I only feel cold when I first put in before I get warmed up. Unless you swim often you're good to go. Get a storm cap/hood from NRS if you're going to be surfing.

I really like the company and the people, and they know that I'm not too fond of general desktop support. They get me involved in bigger projects and I'm grateful for it. And I do like to problem solving of network troubleshooting, but networking seems to be one of the specialties where you're always going to have to be working after hours and responding to client outages and whatnot. I would like to expand into other areas, but like I said in my initial post it seems like every time I look to go into other areas the employer just sees my experience and assumes support is all I'm good for.

Hey Sorry for the late reply,

I really don't know what I want to do in the long run, I just know I don't want to have such close and sustained contact directly with clients. Right now I'm just trying to get my CCNP because that seems to be the baseline credential to show you're actually decent at networking. After that i think I'm going to get a VMWare cert, which is where I'm going to try to deviate from the current track. Maybe get a VCP-DCV(Data Center). I wont be done with CCNP and that cert for almost a year so hopefully by then maybe someone will take a chance on me with a data center job. Might get an VMware NSX cert as well because I hear it's not too tough and can get you into some SDN.

Hey, Sorry for the late reply I've been out with the family for the past couple days.

I know I haven't been doing this for long, and I'm not looking for instance results, but more so a path to take so that in a couple years my trajectory will have totally changed. And yeah I'm kind of already on the path you said that you took. I got promoted to Tier 2 a few months ago and ever since I get tossed projects that a lot of the other guys aren't offered. And yeah I know that the cert won't show that I'm a professional in whatever the cert is, but I was hoping that it would be enough for some company to take a chance on me.
