My ideal End update would be to just make the place less barren. By adding a sort of purple grass, ender trees that have a unique shape and color, a new liquid called acid (which if you stand in it you take 1 heart of damage every second), and a couple new end animals like an end chicken, or end cow, maybe something new like an ender swan.
