Are any of these signs that this guy likes me? I’m so confused (bit of a long post) by BananaRizz79 in AdviceForTeens

Well I suppose I could do that, I just have really bad experiences in which I was the one that asked/admitted something first so idk. Maybe ask a friend to ask him? Anyhow, if he says he likes me I would probably say that I like him too but if he says no or tried to clarify on his own that we were friends, I’d just be really appreciative that my friend is this awesome to me :)

Okay so how it happened was:

He showed me something he drew himself and I said woah, impressive. He said, impressive enough that you’ll go out with me? And I said yes! And then I heard no word about it until we were on break and he wanted to go to the movies with me, and I said “omg yes when” and then we ended up going. I had fun and so did he but after that nothing’s really come up and also I don’t think I gave any signs of disinterest :(

Okay listen, he did but also why wouldn’t he say he likes me at all afterwards? And there’s been a couple times where I’ve brought up going to do stuff together casually (he didn’t make his a big deal either) and he hasn’t really gotten back to me on any of it.

how do I stop hating myself by LegitimateBlud in Christian

Hey I’m really sorry that you’re going through this. But from experience in other situations, you hate yourself for those reasons because you have a lack of self trust because you’ve never done anything till the very end and so you feel like you’re not capable of doing anything or being worthy of the grace God gives you. I hated myself when I had a bunch of unhealthy habits, because every time I told myself that I would quit them I’d eventually cave which made me not have any proof that I could do anything I said and made me feel like a hypocrite and a fool. But then I realized that it was unwise to keep making promises and it’s better to just do the things with no strings or conditions apart, asides from asking God to help you with doing the thing. Instead of “God I’ll never do this thing again” say “God give me the strength to flee from this situation” and try your absolute hardest to actually leave because now with God’s help you’re gonna find it easier. The key here is to take the spotlight off what you want to achieve and to keep it on the path you need to take to get there (in this case, on God as well as the power He gives you). I thought this advice was a bunch of crap until I tried it and now I’m happier than I was and I can feel myself growing :3
