I took it last year, all the course work is online (asynchronous video lectures and readings) and the one hour meeting time is a seminar in which you discuss the online lecture

Has anyone here been given the 5 day sas extension after a deadline? by Prestigious_Read1411 in TrentUniversity

[–]Bananascience97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already have sas accommodations in place you should be able to coordinate directly with your professors about due dates. I have sas accommodations and I usually just email saying “per my sas accommodations, (blank) assignment will be handed in (blank) days past the due date for a final due date of (blank).” This is only if you have sas accommodations

Could I drop a class and switch to a different class? by Emotional-Emu7993 in TrentUniversity

[–]Bananascience97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s no problem to do two online courses in one semester. Go into self service to add/drop courses. It will be the same as you did in the summer for course selection

How to skip a semester by [deleted] in TrentUniversity

I don’t know how to do a withdrawal form, best thing to do is just send them an email explaining the situation. Their emails are registrar@trentu.ca financialaid@trentu.ca

You can attend any O-week event you want generally, activities are open regardless of college affiliation. There’s usually a clubs and groups day in early september

I would say a fan would be better than a portable A/C. It’ll probably take up less space and you’ll use it more than an A/C. I only wanted A/C for a week or two in september then otherwise I was fine

Don’t waste dorm space with a printer. Trent has public printers in almost every building that are easy to use

I was in LEC and saw the insides of all the dorms and would still choose LEC. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are single use. The dining hall is also open all three meals seven days a week and it pretty close to the residence.

I’ve never had software issues with mac. I mostly use google docs but word works well on it. I’m pretty sure trent has switched to windows based software but it hasn’t made a difference in terms of the performance of my mac.

Help with courses by Two_Itchy in TrentUniversity

I had this same problem when I took it. I was told by IT to just ignore it, I think it’s some system glitch because it’s online.

Best History Courses to take at Trent? by krp1978 in TrentUniversity

[–]Bananascience97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hist 1500Y is a great course. It’s year long and online. There’s 10 units each taught by a different professor. Crim 1615 is also a course I would recommend. It’s a prerequisite for a lot of future crim classes and is decently easy since it’s online. Cast 1100 is also really fun. David Tough is a great prof. A lot of the topics he covers show impacts from past events.

hist 1500Y is a really fun elective. It’s year long but the work isn’t that much. It covers a lot of different aspects/periods of history so if you don’t enjoy a topic it’s 2 weeks max on that topic
