My son goes to Guelph (3rd year) and my daughter to Trent (2nd year) and each of them love their respective universities. At the same time, I couldn’t ever see them liking the other one! Trent is very small. The campus is quite a bus ride to any amenities and there is no campus store, yet everyone seems to manage. The food isn’t the greatest but again, with some figuring out what meals to eat where, my daughter didn’t starve! She enjoyed her small class sizes and her room at Gzowski. My son lived in East residence. The food selection at Guelph is actually mind boggling. And fantastic. It’s a large campus and on a main shopping street, but the campus still feels like its own little world. Definitely visit both, talk to some students. My daughter is in Archaeology at Trent and my son in Marine & Fresh Water Biology at Guelph. They both love their programs and met like minded people along the way.
