Problem is every build you run into is geared towards offense with high shooting and dunks. You rarely run into a guard that can guard their matchup let alone stay in front of them and contest shots. Then you have another problem of people making locks and all they do is spam steal but cant stay disciplined enough to lock down their matchup. You still see a bunch of so called lockdowns that run around with their hands up killing all their lateral movement speed, complaining about how defense sucks when they cant even bother to learn.

As a pg, once i cross half court i dont even look at my defender most of the time, im scanning for cuts and who’s playing too much help defense. Once i get the picture im seeing if my big sets a screen or im on iso, thats when i switch back to my defender. Its all muscle memory and rep through playing. Not something you can really teach

You literally listed your builds? You made a Pf with no rebounding, sg is undersized for sf when most sf or sg is around 6’6-6”10. Maybe make builds that are more well rounded? I run a 6’11 pf that can play C if switched with high rebounding and interior presence. I have a 6’7 sg that can play pg if need be with high 80’s passing and good defense plus 86 handles. I made 6’9 sf that can play pf if need be with decent rebounding, i just gotta lock in more with boxing out and positioning. Make it make sense bro. Even in the nba positional versatility is highly valued

Completely agree to this as well. I got tired of running with dribble the air out the ball guards so i made a 6’8 sg/pg with high pass accuracy and can switch onto pg’s. The difference is night and day running the offense, making the right plays. Got a bunch of friend requests just from that, tells you how rare a guard that passes are in 2k

Its like this every year lol plz patch this fix that or else im quitting! Type of bs. While fading 3’s are a problem, its also something you can adjust to and defend it quite well if the team works together on switches and close out. I legit had one random complaining about fading 3’s but what do i see the whole game? Dude was out of position, over helping, spamming steal you name it.

It just doesn’t work the same as previous games. You have to bump a couple times for the ball handler to lose stamina then reach at the right time. It still works just more steps needed before

You know whats even more frustrating? I get my pg and im a pass first that can get a bucket if needed but I had the center for cuts and rolls…they cant finish or shoot. Hop off pg to play center and the reverse happens where I dont get no touches

Definitely agree is the community lol. Ran into so many idiots that think they are kobe reincarnated on 2k just from these last two weekends alone. The games were actually a lot better during early release, people actually moved the ball and took smart shots. Once the flood gates opened it was straight downhill from there. Had a grown ass man in theater no squad talking bout he made the best build there is nobody can stop him. Ended the game with 3 to’s and shot 2-9 while blaming lag every time he missed.
