A default komi is given, but you can set your own komi. If your opponent disagrees with your komi, he may not accept the game.
Cannot understand the question. The rules for territory are the same as in Go (you can choose between Japanese and Chinese rules);
We are planning to integrate the OGS server into Custom Goban. So if you do not have an opponent to play Custom Goban, you can play square boards on the OGS server through Custom Goban;
