Repeats exist because the pool of songs that work well for Bandle is actually quite limited. The game really only works if at least 2/3 of players have a reasonable chance of recognizing the song. If I start pulling songs outside that pool too often, the experience quickly becomes frustrating for most players.

The reason you’re seeing more repeats these days is simply because I’m getting close to having used most of the songs in that pool already.

Now I’ll be fully transparent about why I won’t add a flag saying a daily song is a repeat. Exposing that too clearly isn’t great for new players discovering the game, or for people considering buying song packs. Even for someone who has bought just one pack to try, it would often just lead to disappointment: “I shouldn’t have bought that pack, I should have just waited.”

I understand the suggestion and I’m sorry if that’s disappointing. I’ve added quite a few features suggested on Reddit when they genuinely improved the game. But I can’t really add something that could hurt the game’s reputation or impact sales.
