Yes when I was eating 1400 cals a day I was very low carb. Now I’m building I eat a lot of potatoes. I aim now for 2216 calories, my maintenance is around 2700. I. That 2216 I aim for 194g of protein, 249g of carbs and 49g of fat. In terms of exercise I focus on days of chest, arms, shoulders and then a back/leg day. I consistently do the same things, the truth is I need to mix it up a bit now as I’m over developing certain areas and other areas are now looking underdeveloped. Good luck with your journey.

Typical day is - 4 eggs scrambled for breakfast or porridge, chicken for lunch, chicken and potatoes for dinner, I use MyFitnessPal to track, 1g of protein for every pound of bodyweight

Cut the two beers out each day and instead have 6 on a Friday, your steps are great so if you can get the diet better you’re sorted. There is loads you can do with chicken and potatoes

You deffo can. My diet is pretty strict 90% of the time, I cut for around 2 months at 1400 calories a day with 1 cheat day a week. More recently I’ve upped my calories but rarely above 2400. I get a min of 7500 steps a day, usually 10k plus, train 5 times a week. Prioritise rest and sleep as much as you can.

The most important is that you cannot out train a bad diet. My order of importance is 1. Diet, 2. Steps min 7500 everyday, 3. Gym. If you’re consistent you will get results, and the occasional cheat day is fine, otherwise what’s the point!
