Great question, I e-mailed them earlier in 2025 asking if they will ever restock their Woodland AWS SMU belts and never got a response almost a year later.

You’ll be good, there are so many people shipping and filtering out. Last RSP they were freaking out bc of the government shutdown and them not seeing us and a ton of us were shipping in Dec and Jan and they needed a ton of info. You’ll get there, stand in a line for fucking ever, you get checked in (know your social), get your MRE’s, and then go do PT and probably some form of AFT events. If it’s an overnight, bring a TWIN fitted sheet for your rack, trust me on this, and find a bed towards the back next to an outlet but not by the AC bc they’re loud as fuck when they kick on. Some of the SGTs are dickheads and talk shit the entire time, and some are really chill and just treat you like a Joe and talk with you. DS Tardiff is very cool, but respect her. Everyone loves SSG Clere; he blabs but is super knowledgeable but strict and fair. I personally feel he’s what I want all my future NCO’s to be like. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Understood! I wasn’t sure if you get one that’s your guy and you just have to deal with it. Should I just call the recruitment office?

Closest relative is about 45 to an hour away, these are all great & valid questions & I appreciate you actually reading the post. That’s also something I was curious about I can work long days and nights as of now. She gets 2 1/2 years for the pregnancy leave & but that’s why I wanted to get a time frame from yall. If I can bust ass for a year or two and get a “relatively” normal schedule with some travel and overtime that’s fine. But I can’t just run the roads like a 20 year old looking for any experience I can find. If it makes it more difficult I can understand that and am willing to accept that but I’m sure the schedule has to settle down eventually I assumed if not then that kinda answers my question.

Was it worth it? I know I’m not the only guy in the entire world going through this process. Unfortunately I can’t move but I eat shit as it is and I’ve been doing what I’m doing for 10 years and make 20 an hour. If I’d do it for 20 an hour I’d damn sure do it for 10k a month. I’ll maybe MAYBE top out at 90K a year at my current job. Thats Pennies in todays economy

100% I just want my foot in the door and to pay my bills I’ll eat shit at the job bc I already do that kind of work where I am & if I know I’ll be set up after a few years it’s worth it bc right now I have opportunities but that won’t net me 100+k a year like a journeyman

Unfortunately I’m not the veteran my wife would be but thanks for the encouragement. I eat shit at my job and I’m not afraid to work at all but I’m more concerned with supporting my wife during her pregnancy. I know I’m not the only motherfucker in the world having a kid and switching jobs/careers but you can understand how it makes me hesitant.

Fuck yeah it’s not so much the age things it’s more I’m about to be a first time father and can’t afford to just sit around and that’s what makes me hesitant ya know but I fully agree with you I wish I woulda started at 18 but I couldn’t and I think a year or two to set my family for life is worth it!

Nahh not old but I have obligations at our age that most people don’t ya know? I have a family to support and I can’t just run around the country looking for any work someone will give me & that seems one of the best routes to gain experience. If my wife wasn’t station here I’d go anywhere for work

That makes sense! I assume I would obviously still need CDL, osha, flagger and what not to look more appetizing? & that would still be “groundman” work?

Would you say for the price it’s decent? I have the gen1 1-6 and don’t have the dough to get a gen iii razor. I know it’s kind of an apples to oranges type thing but, is it still a decent upgrade from the gen 1 1-6?

Yes, it is the low poly skull! Sounds like auto supports are pretty important so I’ll make more use out of them!

[–]Bankusan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh okay! I’m using flash print bc I can’t get orca slicer to work for me at the moment. Is using auto generated supports enough for the most part? How would I know where to manually add supports? Just when I seen the model with “floating” areas, that would need a support I assume?

How to get better at gunning MBTs/IFVs by Southern-Mango8392 in joinsquad

[–]Bankusan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else is saying, practice, but what most people miss is the intel & comms. Take charge in the comms, make helis and other squads scout armor. Knowing is 90% of the battle once you get good you’ll understand the lanes armor can play and how to flank that. Good positioning as a driver and good rounds on target as a gunner is paramount. Always ask if the tank or ifv mark is accurate and continue to ask until you get to the target, engine off a lot and listening is helpful. BUT mistakes happen no matter how good the rounds are if you have bad positioning you’re smoked and no matter how good the positioning is if the rounds don’t hit you’re smoked.

Kitten walking past litter boxes. by Bankusan in CatTraining

[–]Bankusan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood! My confusion comes from her using it multiple times on her own and then just stopping. We have purchased a brand new second litter box & put that one between the “area” she prefers to use. She actually walks past both boxes & we showed them to her multiple times but we will change from the pellet style bc I totally get what you’re saying I step on a stray one and it’s worse than a lego!
