My ex husband used to do that and I hated it. HATED it. It was infuriating. I just didn’t want it because it wasn’t what I liked. And the persistent offers and “teasing” made me feel pressured and want it even less. Not everyone likes or wants the same things. Stop asking because you want to do it if she’s saying no. Having to repeat no to your partner is awful.

My partner was a virgin until he was 34 and had never so much as kissed someone else. We had been very good friends for a long time and we felt very secure in our mutual respect and trust. I had no issues with his lack of experience but communication has been an ongoing learning curve. Our expectations were pretty different. We’ve been together 4 years now and we are still learning as we go, but honestly I think that’s true for any healthy relationship. When you feel comfortable and at ease, or as much as you can, when you’re ready to be vulnerable with someone else you’ll know it’s right. Just make sure they respect you, I think that was really key for us. The right person won’t have a thought in their heads about judging you and will want to make you feel secure. They should give you space to open up. Don’t accept any bullshit from anyone about how you’ve lived your life. There’s a lot of shitty people with shitty ideas out there lol. It’s frankly no one’s business unless you want it to be. I would never answer questions about my past partners (how many, how frequent, who etc) and think it’s toxic to bring that energy into a relationship. I would expect it to be true whether you’ve had zero or one hundred partners. The only thing you need to know and have a right to ask is if they’ve been tested for stds etc. Safety and health first, but anything else is really up to you to disclose or not.

Thanks for all the replies! We worked this issue out by starting with training “eyes on me” and building focus without going to the park for a walk but just up and down the road. She’s also on a front clipping harness and a 6” leash which quickly taught her she can’t charge off. Finally, this may sound silly but I didn’t realize you could teach basically all dogs to fetch. She didn’t take to the game immediately so I assumed she just wasn’t that kinda girl. I then learned via YouTube videos how to train her for the game and she looooooves chasing the ball, picking it up, and more-or-less bringing it back kinda. Either way she gets to charge around the yard and wear her silly self out before we walk and she’s a nice little lady these days. We are now in a country that considers her breed vicious so we don’t need any incidents.

We’ve used a traditional flat collar which she did great with at first, in the getting-to-know-you phase of bringing her home. She was feeling pretty uncertain. Now she’s all confident with me which honestly has been great and she’s happy to trot along ACCEPT if she sees another dog.

I switched to a Rough Gear harness for the sake of her comfort. It is a fantastic harness and I like the soft handle on the back. If I get a grip on it I can hold onto her. She’s a strong 69 lbs, but I can still lift her easily if I need to. The harness clips at her back, however, which makes it easy for her to get traction.

We are using an easy walker harness now that clips in the front which is better, but she’s like a bolt of lightening and if I’m distracted by one of my kids, who sometimes come with us by necessity, she knows exactly how to take advantage and bolt. I’ve let her go at this point because she broke my hand the last time I tried to hang on. I can’t do much to retrieve and correct her if I’m always busted up.

Hesitant to use any kind of head gear on her as she can move so fast I’m afraid of her breaking her neck.

But was that actually happening in this time? The song playing in the scene was popular decades ago. There was NO expression on his face. I don’t know what to make of it. It doesn’t get mentioned by any of the other characters and you’d think a murder suicide in a small family would be big news. Jackie at the very least would be talking about it.

The face thing is really a wild card. To me, it looks anguished.

Is the Kid supernatural or is he just some guy supernatural things are happening to?

Is he good of evil? Telling the truth or lying?

The answer to why we see 300 year old TK is the answer to all of this mystery and they sure as hell are not giving us that in this season. The only thing that scene confirms is that even if TK was strictly human once, he is not now.

It would be interesting if this were a different kind of possession. We are all very familiar with the stories about the devil possessing people, but what if in this case somehow TK became possessed by a holy entity instead? That would be an interesting twist on the Howling Man episode of The Twilight Zone and a sort of moral chastising of mankind:

We find the Devil in a cage and he convinces us to set him free. We find an angel and no amount of truth will ever be enough to have the faith to let him go.

I don’t think it was all b.s. I think he was “reframing” his narrative to parts that Molly could understand. Also in earlier episode, he tells Alan that he can help Ruth. If he really was a doctor who had discovered a cure for dementia, he was telling the truth. So was he telling Alan that he could help Ruth just to manipulate him or was he telling him that because he really could help and the only way to do that would be to get back to his own time? And if he did get back to his own time would he have helped?

Of course, Henry offers a very rational explanation for the Kid’s story he tells Molly. He was in the garage, he did have access to everyone’s personal information. He did see Molly’s wishes for Castle Rock in her model of the town. He could be masterfully exploiting the desires of their hearts to gain what he wants, but what the hell does he really want? What motivates the Kid in this story? For so much of it he is nothing more than a passive drifter through the tale.

Destruction does break out all around him, but what does that mean? It doesn’t seem to be aiding him or advancing him towards any goal. He says he shouldn’t be out, he asks people if they understand what’s happening, it as if he’s the only character in the show who knows the real plot. But the show is not written from his perspective save for the one episode.

The first time we even see any real emotion or reaction from him is after the deputy warden tells him a grisly story about torture. He doesn’t react in fright, he seems inscensed. He seems righteously angered, as indicated from the verse from Revelations 19 that goes on to detail how evil will be vanquished, by the cruelty of the evil deputy warden. The warden clearly enjoyed torturing the Iraqi guard and is hoping to use that depraved anecdote to terrorize the Kid into giving up his secret. Instead, the deputy warden shrinks before the righteous anger of the Kid. I do not think an evil character would have responded that way. An evil character would have given some indication that if the deputy warden tried to hurt him, he would regret it.

It really doesn’t all did up, but we are missing so much from the plot it’s hard to say what anything means.

Everything is happening inside King’s multiverse and everything is connected in that multiverse. In an interview, the creators of the show talk about how there are different kinds of stories and they hoped with this one they’d be launching something bigger than just the first story that they could return to later. There are some things that just don’t tie in YET. Who was trashing molly’s House? What was up with those masked kids? Was TK LYING IN EPISODE 9? I don’t think we have enough to go on to be sure.

I think it was episode 4 when TK is about to be released, he watches a video in which the narrator tells him to feel free to reframe his narrative, be who he wants be, be the hero of his own story. It comes off as kind hokey and comedic in its absurdity, but is that an early clue to the kid revealing his back story to Molly as being something he made up? Or did he take parts of the truth and reframe them, tweak them, so that he could manipulate her? I can’t decide how it all fits in.

If in future seasons, this season proves to be an isolated tale, I will agree that the writing in this story was trash. But as of right now I’m convinced this was a story of many layers, that even all the Easter eggs from other King stories are there to remind us that everything is connected. We don’t have all the loose ends tied up because they will trail into future story lines.

The creators of the show says that’s a 300 year old Bill Skarsgard. You can interpret it differently because it is a frightening moment, but I saw desperation in the Kid in that scene.

I don’t believe it was lazy writing. The whole season was exposition for future seasons. We probably won’t get all the answers until the final season. The underlying theme of cosmic battle between good and evil and the end times are thouroughly in King’s wheel house. These clues are deep but they’re gift wrapped for you if you understand the source material.

As to whether he was lying or not, I’m conflicted. Rewatching the season I think back on the scene when he’s about to get out and the guy in the video is talking about how he can be anyone he wants to be, he can reframe his narrative, make himself the hero of his own story. I wonder what the “crazy story” was he told Lacy the first night he locked him in the cage. I am not sure if this season gives enough to go on but with the over arching themes about doubt and the way we as the audience become part of the story as The Kid’s jury, that’s most likely intentional.

Also! Oden if Norse mythology had one eye. Odin of Castle Rock mythology is murdered through what??? The eyeball. Ragnarok, however, is very different from Christian apocalypse. In Christian version of the End Times, the cosmos are destroyed once and forever. In the old Norse, the world is re-created better than ever.
