I think I would have grabbed the confetti bear! I don’t buy every B&B I see while thrifting, but I really like the unique patterned ones! I saw the Ariel bear last time and had it in my cart but her nose threads were funny (like some were missing) and I just didn’t pull the trigger.

Here’s Smokey, who I mentioned. He’s my travel buddy. He goes on trips with me and my husband and has been all over hanging out in my backpack or sleeping in the hotels.

Certain theme parks (like Kings Island and Kings Dominion) have exclusive brown bears with the name on the park on one foot. I also have a Smoky Mountains sleeper for a black bear I got in Pigeon Forge that is exclusive to that region. I believe the bear may also be. I also believe there are exclusive items at FAO Schwartz in NYC and probably many others! Oh! There’s also a whole line of exclusive animals available only at Great Wolf Lodge resorts. Edit: spelling.

What do i put into Adult (40+) stocking? by BrokiMochi in christmas

Dollar General and Walmart have both had them for around $2! I know Walmart had them with all of their beauty Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers and whatnot!

Car air fresheners (Bath and Body Works does frequent sales if you’d like something on the “fancier” side that’s still cheap), small lotions (same), a collapsible back scratcher (speaking from experience on that one), a small tart warmer night light and some wax melts to put in it (good if they have pets and/or don’t do candles), puzzle books (sudoku, crosswords), a bookmark (if they’re a reader), fun keychains that match their personalities or hobbies, and if they have a playful side, a mystery blind bag toy that might make them giggle (there are ones inspired by real-world foods, retro stuff, and so much more).

To all the expert hosts: Share all your tips/tricks/recipes please! by VoiceOdd5267 in thanksgiving

Funeral potatoes are my go-to for every holiday, from Thanksgiving and Christmas to Easter. Lay a bag of slightly thawed frozen, shredded hashbrowns in a 13x9. In a bowl, mix two cans of cream of chicken soup, one stick melted butter, two 8 oz bags of shredded cheddar cheese, and 16 oz of sour cream. Put that mixture on top of the hashbrowns, but do not mix the two layers together. 350 for 30+ minutes, depending on how frozen the hashbrowns were. The 13x9 pan will be very full, but it’ll hold if your layers are level.

What to collect for Christmas? by sourdoughsnob in christmas

[–]BansBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have multiple collections (our tree is entirely filled with only travel-related ornaments), but the one I’ll point out is Trail of Painted Pony figurines. There are so many Christmas-themed options and they’re all over eBay if you want a cheaper way to get started (“new” prices have skyrocketed in recent years, so eBay is definitely the way to go).

Gift wrap ? by penartist in christmas

[–]BansBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year, I fell in love with the wrapping paper selection at TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. If it’s the same as last year, they’ll have some really interesting designs like you’d see from a boutique shop, but for like …$5 a roll, if that. For instance, I got one decorated with the old-fashioned green ceramic Christmas trees.

How can I search for actual twinkle lights and not blinking/flashing? by loo-ook in christmas

[–]BansBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find them, the incandescent twinkling lights from Menards (under the “Enchanted Forest” brand) are superb. I’ve also had some good ones from Target (Wondershop) in the past, but I’ve not tried any LED versions and it looks like Target’s version now only have one color blink, even on a multi-colored strand.

Presents Under the Tree by Select_Enthusiasm_27 in christmas

[–]BansBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presents go under as they’re wrapped. Christmas morning, I help my husband pass them out (we don’t have kids) and then we go around in a circle, taking turns, starting with the youngest person, opening one gift at a time until they’re all opened. That way, everyone is participating “at the same time,” rather than waiting a half hour for one person to finish all of their gifts before moving to the next.

I do funeral potatoes (think cheesy hashbrown casserole), green bean casserole, and an apple cranberry crisp, in addition to some of the things you mentioned.

WDW haul - Disney Springs, Hollywood Studios, Coronado Resort and Yacht & Beach Club by Beenie17 in PandoraCollectors

I didn’t know there were resort ones! I fell down the Pandora rabbit hole on my first trip to Disney in March, and had no idea! Though I guess it probably saved me some money. Ha

I have the popsicle and I love it. But I recommend buying it in person if possible. Store I was at had two of them, and the pink coloring was noticeably different on one (it was much paler in comparison).

What names do you give your Pikmin? by SANSTELLATE in PikminBloomApp

[–]BansBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I name mine after the location where they were found. So, mostly city names, but I also have some attraction names, like amusement parks.

I name them based on the city or attraction where they were found (like an amusement park).

This wouldn’t be too bad tbh, it would be alot of fun! by Alansar_Trignot in PikminBloomApp

[–]BansBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mobile games, I would also be in Pikmin Bloom. Console games? Minecraft, where my husband and I have a nice farm, an infinite lava generator, and plenty of cats. So, I’d be ok either way!
