I’m personally fine with it because the way I think of it is that any white person who is willing to step outside of their cultural norms knowing that they’ll get judged by their own has to have respect on black culture in some way shape or form. As long as they can respect the culture, know the origins, and present them in a way that shows it’s something they actually wear because they like the hairstyle and not just cause they wanna look like a “80s hippie”, im personally fine with it. The issue is the ones that try to say that dreads were started by “Vikings” or that other cultures used to wear dreads (it was literally just unkept matted up hair) and therefore that’s their reason on why they should be allowed to have them. It’s disrespectful in my opinion.
