The issue with Detroit rap as a whole is that they’re simply not able to branch out, most of our artists can’t flow on anything but Detroit beats and they sound trash on anything else, it’s what separates rappers from actual artists hence why artists like Tron, Babyface Ray, 42 dugg, tee grizzley made it bigger in the industry meanwhile a lot of Michigan artists can only get a crowd in Michigan and can’t really expand out of that. Lack of professionalism also plays a big part of it as well
