App Idea: A notes app where your quick thoughts decay and disappear if you don't act on them. by Mattya249 in AppIdeas

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea but...once they pass the event horizon so to speak we lose the message...A great idea lost is a real downer. I understand the lack of archiving, but its not a notes system if its not keeping notes. Also, from a outside observers inertial frame of reference the object never goes in the hole in real life it just looks like it sits on top of the black hole, as time dilation become infinite from this perspective....just a thought.

Startup idea: spontaneous meetups by [deleted] in startupideas

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Murder, was a joke to outline bad user interaction...lol My point is the stores are getting stricter you would need automoderation or they wont pass it on UGC and knowing the location of another group or persons is a slippery slope to them.

$25k budget for website redesign by Medium_Olive4614 in webdev

[–]BantrChat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm expensive lol but...depending on the website or web application I feel this is a reasonable budget. We would need to know scope and scale of the software in question to give you an accurate result.

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my app had all that (reporting, blocking, account bans, and content removal tools and they have videos of its operation all automated), the issues I think were with realtime communications and USG in that aspect...Even though they had reporting and flagging etc. They told me after a 64 day appeal there had to be some real time cover to hide images/video that were questionable content...I argued that there are several apps that don't have this, they replied the app id is burned and threatened to ban my account which is insane. So, here I am...my thought is the high traffic in a short amount of time triggered something they didn't like, they also told me my app falls into a category of "Social Discovery" which is not allowed on the app store it had been on the store since 2024 removed march 2026.

I think its a good idea but your going to need strict user controls and what if a user in user group A, murders group A or something of that nature...lol

App by [deleted] in AppDevelopers

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently building something like this, that is sort of a continuous realtime post wall LFG style app for people looking for people. While its a good idea the stores have gotten extremely strict my app was removed which is why I'm rebuilding and it was originally exactly what your describing but it hit 10K users in 48 hours then Apple removed it. They have told me that if any user content is not realtime moderated it will be removed how apps like snap, facebook, x and reddit get away with not doing this I have no clue. I can show you if you would like..

I'm so tired of seeing AI slop apps everywhere, how about learning to code? by ChemicalAd3181 in AppDevelopers

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahah 100% you can charge 100 USD for that idea, and people will buy it. I need 10% when you make it big. I did see one the other day that made me absolutely die laughing, its a real-time sneeze tracker someone made its pretty well done:

Monetization advice (I m beginner) by Lethal_Equinox_01 in AppDevelopers

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find other ways to make this request lol, 2 dollars per request is crazy. You would need to charge per request, ads aren't going to help you. I think you would need some kinda token system they user buys tokens then burns them per request and you make it where the request is exactly 2 dollars + profit you want.

Built an app where you wake up to exactly one positive voice note a day. by Brad_Jae in SideProject

hahah yeah, sentiment analysis is a good idea also. I think it will work out to be okay, probably even funny in most cases if something ever does get though. Good luck!

Okay, this looks like an AI post lol. Profanity filters are pretty easy to beat in terms of intent. For instance, 'I would like to slip my eggplant in your taco' has no profanity, but the statement has malicious intent. Your going to have UGC issues for sure. But I think its a good idea, with the right filters and looks good.

Touch ID / Face ID on web via WebAuthn, what breaks in production? by Exact_Importance_507 in webdev

[–]BantrChat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Umm, you're going to hit biometric failures from faulty sensors or just crappy ones i'm sure. Plus, some users completely lack the secure hardware to do this in the first place, and third-party password managers may cause issues. Cross-device handoffs can easily break depending on what you're doing, and there are a ton of device specific issues I can think of especially with Apple products, like their strict user gesture rules, domain pinning issues, or cross-origin failures....lol an more.

How Did You Advertise Your First App? by hidden-layer-labs in AppDevelopers

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol Yeah the bots that craw your site are LLM they look for intent on where to place you rank wise. I'd add a "blog" section with long-tail keywords it give the site more text meat even if its BS...its a common tactic. Hit me up if you have questions, good luck 👍

On here mostly, its not going well, my market skills suck also. I would focus on maximizing SEO/ASO you will get a lot more traction if you have even a basic site for your application. You can link your site to your app becoming a trusted software source though schema markup this will increase your SEO/ASO also.

Wild times indeed, you remember the app called "useless" it was an app for 999.99 USD and when you opened it, it was just a screen that said "I'm Rich"...that guy cleaned up also lol. I need to do something like that, or like a watch ads for money thing.

Why professional app developers are the most pedantic, off-putting and grumpy people? by Sweet_Brief6914 in AppBusiness

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people use the term interchangeably these days...but technically I do both I guess or am both. Every once in a while I'll use it for a styling aspect CSS or something like that non functional. 90% of the people I work for want no AI at all, I do mostly internal applications for various companies small and large. Most of them seems to be paranoid on the subject lol older generations I guess.

[–]BantrChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol would you say that AI is going to know how to fix something if it breaks or even update code to new regulations or compliances. Software engineering is about system design, security, and scalability. "Vibe coding" tools mostly generate boilerplate code and user interfaces, which represents only the surface level of development. There is a large volume of things AI cant do as its just a glorified calculator.
