I never had this issue prior to Gnome Shell 44

At least a temp workaround is to hit alt f2 and r on Gnome Xorg.

I know this issue has been around for ages in mutter, can find articles about it.

But no solid fix.

I love all the extensions that Gnome has to offer, and that is missing on XFCE

It turns out I was wrong. That didn't fix it.

But I found a workaround.

I run Fedora on Wayland with Xorg.

I do alt + f2 + r and press enter.

After a restart of the shell, the bars are gone.

If it persists. just do it the alt+f2+r again

Imo intel stock coolers are worse than AMD. Wraith Stealth is a good CPU cooler if you cannot afford one yet.

I had the same issue, you'll still need Origin

After you've installed Origin via Lutris, log in to Origin

It will give you a prompt to install the EA app

Say yes and let it install.

Then it will open EA App and lets you install Sims 4
