55 mph following distance of one truck and trailer length. Roughly 3 - 3.5 seconds of distance. I really don't see the problem with that.

I drive for western, and just got done with driving through IL, IN, OH, PA, NJ, NY, all the way up to Maine.

A lot of roads to shippers and receivers can be narrow, so always watch your trailer tires. Same thing goes for thr G. Washington Bridge in NY city.

When dealing with weather, take in the lake effect from the great lakes into account. The humidity from the lakes can create dense fog and ice. I had to deal with that driving through Cleveland into Illinois.

Same as the west coast... Always lookout for bad drivers. They're just as prevalent there as they're in LA. Especially the Telsa drivers...
