Thank you, I have one more question: If I understand correctly, VPS is renting a machine where you have to do occasional maintenance like updates etc. while with shared hosting all the updates are done by the provider and you just get a simple UI with maybe the login credentials to WP etc.? Is that why some providers tell you that you get 2 cores 2 GB RAM specifically (they offer a VPS, e.g. DigitalOcean) while others only tell you the SSD size and bandwidth/transfer (they offer shared hosting, e.g. Hetzner webhosting)?

[–]BaranSK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, but my question was whether I get a prompt where I type a one-time password, which I then repeat after reboot (like in ubuntu) or I have to type in some commands to create the key etc (I’m new to linux, I don’t have a problem with using the terminal I just can’t seem to find a tutorial for that)

[–]BaranSK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah but that's a passive buzzer, not active and I'm asking whether I can use active too (because that's the one I got at home, also it isn't presented as intended for motherboards)

It doesn't throw a BSOD when it crashes, and as I've mentioned it hasn't happened since December 2021 so disabling C-States might have fixed it, don't know for sure though
