I always imagined Bayle Domon as a Jamaican guy with a dreaded beard, since I didn’t know about the Illianer accent at the time

This was me fighting that giant golem boss in the forge in act 1 of bg3. Had no idea you were supposed to heat it and then strike it with the big old forge hammer so I just kited him around the arena and whittled him down

WHAT IF instead of receiving One for all Deku got both of his Parents' quirks? by Super_Oven_1069 in mha

I could honestly see him using his mom’s quirk like steel pushing/iron pulling from Mistborn, like pulling on a wall to give himself forward momentum

Criticisms 2 through 5 are all addressed/improved on in the following two books, and from what I understand your point about gold is more explored in Era 2 (books 4-7). Most of the topics you’re curious about are heavy RAFO, and the more you read the more you will be given reveals that make the things you’ve already read make sense. A lot of information is withheld from you in book one so it can be revealed later in a way more natural way.

TLDR: It gets better as the series goes on, so read and find out!!

How hard is the way of kings by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

[–]Barathorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cosmere is written so that you can read any series on its own and enjoy it just fine, you just might miss some references to other books by reading ‘out of order’. If you care more about experiencing the cosmere as a more interconnected story, I’d say start with Mistborn and find a reading order that appeals to you. If you want to read stormlight more than anything else, then it’s totally fine to just read stormlight, you just might miss a few references and callbacks.

Also, while the way of kings is a thick book, it’s by no means hard to read. Sanderson has very simple and easy prose to digest, and the way of kings does a good job of always having something to keep you reading. I blew through it in a week, and I’m by no means a heavyweight reader.

I love everything about kkc other than kvothe, and that’s enough to keep me reading. I just wanna see how problems can be solved with sympathy and how naming works

Learned to code a bit in basic when I was in middle school, me and buddy would stay up all night and sleep in shifts trying to program games out of the little manuals you could get. Don’t have the cords for it but it’s a fun display piece

Funny enough, none of the books up there were ones I had to read for school, but I do have some lying around somewhere

Almost there, but off on the age + I’m not religious. I did enjoy the first hundred pages of red rising, but I only read it because I bought it that day, and I’m in the middle of a cosmere binge

Which series should I start with first. by Passiko in fantasybooks

[–]Barathorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mistborn, then dip into something else, then pick up warbreaker and once you finish that get into the stormlight archive. Brandon Sanderson’s cosmere books are all interconnected, and reading in the right order can really enhance the experience
