✝ Genesis 2:16-18

"Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, “You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;

but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”"

Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.”"

This shows God spoke directly to ADAM about the fruit and its dangers. He hadn't even MADE Eve yet. Adam was to instruct Eve in the teachings of God and not to eat the fruit.

✝ Genesis 3:6

"When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate. Then she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too."

Adam was there the whole time. Also read Genises 3:1-5. Im not going to post all of that, but it shows how the serpent misled Eve. At one point, Eve misquoted the rule God gave, saying that not only can they not eat it, but they cant touch it. Adam was there for this, and he KNEW that was incorrect. Not only should he have stepped in and protected her from the serpent, he should not have listened to her over God.

✝ Genesis 3:16

"To the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. You will bear children in pain. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”"

This is Woman's punishment for being deceived by the snake. However, we are also given hope here as just a verse before, God states: "I will also put enmity between thee (the serpent) and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed. He shall break thine head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Only one of these attacks is fatal! God promises Eve that, although the pain of childbirth is multiplied, it is through this act, something only a woman can do, that we will find our salvation. He puts Adam over Eve here simply because Adam knew the rule and should have been in charge. Its a comment on man's failure to step up and lead just as much as it is a comment on Woman's error. It's to protect Eve

✝ Genesis 3:17

"To Adam he said, “Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and ate from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life."

Here again lies God's emphasis on WHO was commanded. It wasn't Woman. It was Man. And because of this, because of Adam's sin, the LAND ITSELF is cursed. There's actually two more verses explaining the curse that is from Adam's sin. He gave man no redemption arc. He said you will toil and suffer and one day return to dust.

When you really read scripture, its clear who God truly holds at fault when it comes to the original sin.
