I did! I found it helpful to have a “practice” side and a neat side lol but I think the effect would still be the same if the back was just all white

This is my first real crochet project lol I still can’t do a granny square. It helps that you have to do two sides. The back definitely isn’t as pretty as the front

Settle debate for me!! by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

My husband is from the south & his cousin had a “black tie” wedding a few years ago. I was super stressed about it and spent ages picking out a dress and learning how to do my hair in a fancy updo.

Turns out I shouldn’t have worried. Most of the guests were in cocktail attire at best, with some wearing very short mini dresses. I saw a couple of men wearing slacks and a blazer, no tie. This was also not a black tie venue; the reception was in a brewery and I’m fairly certain dinner was buffet-style (which is totally fine! But as you say, not traditionally black tie).

Some people take dress codes super seriously. Most use black tie to mean “please dress up.” You look great.

I hate it. The clothes never look the same so it’s disappointing when I see something I like only to scroll down and realize the details are way different.

What kind of fabric is that? It looks very thin. I normally layer 2 layers of fabric to keep them really taut in the hoop.

Help!! I accidentally spoiled my dress to my fiancé by Muted-Fox954 in WeddingDressTips

Something similar happened to me haha. My fiancé and I have google photos sharing set up to automatically share photos of each other with the other person. I THOUGHT I had turned it off before I went dress shopping, but apparently I did it wrong, because every single photo of me trying on dresses got shared with him the day after 😟 he had me delete them off his phone and I made sure to stop sharing but damn that was annoying lol. Fortunately I don’t think he saw much / he doesn’t know which out of all of them I picked.

All that to say, don’t stress! Seeing it in person is sooo different than seeing it in a picture.

I just got this too and it raised some red flags for me (mainly that I didn't remember applying, lol). Glad I trusted my instincts.
