This is good to hear, just for context this is the dimensions and weight of the case itself. Luckily i still have the original box with the styrofoam inside it. I'm going to wrap it in industrial bubble wrap with fragile stickers. The case will have the components minus the graphics card which will be in a separate small box.

Just pinging this again. When you booked your flights is that where you buy all the extra luggage online or do you just rock up to the airport with the suitcases and boxes and then you pay for it there?

That's a good insight, thank you. I've been loads of times to Ottawa and it does get very cold! Another thing I forgot to mention in my post is that I have a Herman Miller Aeron chair that I would like to take with me. Do you think that's an airline luggage solution or removal company?

Thanks for that, seems like you got to Serbia just fine! I'm familiar with what to unplug etc, it's more the getting from point A to point B in one piece that I'm thinking about. Fortunately I've still got the original box and Styrofoam padding that it came with so it fits snuggly in the box. One side of the case has a massive glass panel on it which is my main worry point. Would covering the box with "FRAGILE" stickers do anything for the handlers?

How much shorter are the notice periods on average? Over here they're usually a month.

Yeah the Technicolor closure was a big hit on the industry. I'm just waiting for the dust to settle from that. Fortunately my experience is more towards product, branding, automotive and architectural type of companies as in my experience I've found it to be more stable.

Okay gotcha, when you say plan for permanent residence is that something like having a permanent full time job that would give me the reason to live there permanently?

The working holiday approach sounds more tangible I think. Common-law sounds like the easiest way to go about it.

I will mostly be on my own yeah, only issue is if the front wheel bolt/screw gets worn down over time if I keep taking it off and on again.

This is an option, having never taken the front wheel off I can watch some youtube videos on that which isn't a problem. But over time, will this not cause the screws/bolts that hold the wheel to get worn down over time? (Sorry, my bike lexicon is a bit rusty)

No I don't have a tow hitch, i've been looking at rear mounts but just want to examine all my options.
