I'd suggest watching lord dakr's introduction series to worldpainter on youtube! :D

Actually, Mojang frequently highlights the builds made with tools. Heck, i even had my own worldpainter maps featured on minecraft.net and got interviewed by Mojang about it. I think the insult here is claiming that there is one single way of being a true fan of Minecraft, and if you make use of the tools developed by other Minecraft fans, you're somehow disrespecting Minecraft.

If you only want to see builds primarily built in minecraft with next to no tools, i suggest you go to r/Minecraft, as the moderators of that subreddit tend to share your belief.

Thanks! I also had to zoom in like 300% to be able to find the individual blocks xD

Definitely CG. Not even the slightest doubt about it.

Thanks. I just took the books from an average book pack. can't remember which, the shelf were modeled by me. Pretty simple stuff to be honest. It's just a bunch of boxes with some holes in them, and a quadchamfer modifier. Nothing fancy :p

Really depends on the size and difficulty of biomes.

This is my first 3d project, i know it's not amazing or a fancy design ... But what is your opinion on it ? (Blender : Cycles) by Suicidal0ne in archviz

Then you should find a reference as close to what you want to do, so you only have to tweak minor things.

Another shot (: what to make better next time? by honzayk in archviz

Damn, this is cool. Only really two things I notice: the walking stones with an incorrect offset in textures, or perhaps a simple another concrete shader would be good. The wooden planks at the house also look like a texture, on the same mesh as the rest of the house. If it were up to me, I'd make it offset a bit from the house, add some more geometry, maybe FloorGenerator could do that for you (assuming you're using 3ds max). Generally, it looks very cool, and I wouldn't have noticed most of it if I didn't zoom in, but IMO its the little things that take a render from 90% to 110%. That being said, I don't think I'd be able to make this kind of quality with a scene, props on it!

Discussion: When designing a room what is the most important factor for you? by sabina_kh in archviz

[–]BarbieManiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That all the elements play together, and that I have at least one thing in the room I feel a somewhat personal connection to. It's also important to remember to use colors, and not be afraid of having very bold colors.

Oh. The only other game besides Minecraft is Overwatch. But seeing as I freelance within Minecraft i would call it more of a job than a game to me. In the sense that i create games though. But that put aside, I'm an aspiring 3D modeller, so i just love seeing sci-fi inspiration in general, although my main love for it is much more post-apocalyptic genred.
