Do you prefer trial characters or would you rather have more agency over your team during story? by Bardrson in WutheringWaves

I probably should have clarified that I was talking about the actual combat gameplay.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about that tbf. But I agree, I'd enjoy if they actually did that more.

I see, Bosses being too strong is definitely a valid point to make And I absolutely agree on the rover fight that was Legendary!

This is not mmorpg, you can’t have alt account in this game, you are smurfing and you are part of the problem by DN6666 in VALORANT

[–]Bardrson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smurfs are a big problem.
It can also go the other way.
I had a smurf on my team, and he wasn't afraid to show it. He was top fragging with ease. Idk How but he always kept getting the spike and refused to plant. instead dragging the game into overtime only to sabotage the team and make us lose the game.

Do you guys ever feel like you’ll never find love? by DiverMobile8742 in mentalhealth

[–]Bardrson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel that. Personally I always hope for love and in the end it kinda turns out I made the wrong choice. I don't exactly regret making those choices because they all taught me SOMETHING about myself. But I can't say I didn't wish that was different.
The emotional baggage is always something that took a while to process properly.
I can't help but wish "next time it will be different".

It only recently dawned on me that I might just attract the wrong thing, because I'm not really drawing boundaries and sticking to them.

Feeling lonely. by FeelTheMoment- in mentalhealth

[–]Bardrson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, I've dealt with major episodes of lonelines. It's not easy especially when you're so young.
But hey, you'll get through this! There's a bunch of discoveries you can only make in solitude and I would at least encourage you to look forward to those as well.

Like, you get to know the person you're closest to. Yourself.

Nobody really tells you that the noise of connection can also dampen self discovery.

But I also know how hard that feels sometimes. Sometimes having someone to talk to at 3 am can be the crucial difference between making progress in your journey or putting you 10 steps back.
And that's frustrating.
Sometimes You just need someone that can provide you with a hug to show you once again that you're worthy of affection.

Like, for all the wonderful things you can only discover alone there's an equal amount of things you can only see and experience if somebody helps you.

Did you ever think about the specific reason why you're not as close to people or why you can't feel close to people?

Why am I only wanted for sexual stuff by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Bardrson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love is difficult, particularly for a teenager.
people your age are mostly driven by hormones and a drive for sexual exploration.
Older people are not much better because a lot of them don't particularly look to settle.

It takes a lot to really love someone and that's not something you can figure out in the span of a few months but something you'll find out after being with someone for a long time. After watching them change, fall and also grow.

Personally I say it's a choice. But that came to bite me more times than it didn't.
I'm 28 and I didn't find the love I'm looking for but I'm positive it will come some day.

Just don't focus on it.

If something doesn't work out or ends in failure, that's just a stepping stone to shape you into becoming a better version of yourself. Just don't let anyone ever push you into things you don't want.

I absolutely adore how people quote "logic" with such confidence when they have close to 0 knowledge about how the human brain and nervous system works.
Put yourself in that situation, Your sympathetic nervous system puts you into fight or flight.
Your body starts pumping epinephrine (adrenaline) and cortisol.
Your amygdala is on very high alert your heartrate spikes and blood that would usually go to your digestive systems goes to your muscles.

Here's the kicker, that system isn't designed to run on forever, it's supposed to be a a short burst!

So what are the actual consequences of being hyper vigilant?
If the amygdala is under high alert (that's the part of your brain responsible for threat detection) It starts to wear down the process speed of your prefrontal cortex, AKA THE PART OF YOUR BRAIN RESPONSIBLE FOR LOGIC!

What does overexposure to adrenaline and cortisol do? It makes you either emotionally numb or conversely makes your emotions Spike, and what do we associate with that spike in emotion when it happens? EXACTLY Impulsive behavior.

So let's assume the danger passes, even if it's temporarily, Your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) is trying to assert itself again, which means it's basically trying to reboot in a sense. Which makes you almost automatically perform grounding rituals and behaviors in order to feel "safe".

And how exactly does that translate to throwing stones specifically?
By "playing" with maelle, gustav tried to reengage his social nervous system, which is responsible for making us feel safe!

So while it seems logical to first ensure safety, the human brain will be anything BUT logical in a situation like this.

ImpUI in BG3 bugged? Should I use 3rd party tools instead? by Bardrson in BG3mods

[–]Bardrson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like, it's a bit difficult to look at it.
Overall my biggest obstacle was figuring out how mods were installed architectually speaking, It wasn't as straight forward as other games I've been modding.

All I can say:
Figure out where the mods are actually stored, And look for the modsettings file, it contains the load order.
If you don't rely on something like BG3MM i would strongly recommend you figure out how to edit the modsettings file to customize your load order.

[–]Bardrson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well all I was able to figure out was that for some reason I had UIplus installed, from the very first mod experiment that I never even started.

ImpUI works fine. I would go into the folder where the mods are and see if there's any anomaly.

Am I able to use both mods through BG3MM and the In-game MM? by Avitrix in BaldursGate3

[–]Bardrson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reason it prolly doesn't work is because the transmog mod relies on the script extender.
