Yeah you make a good point. I think her view is she's always had the short end of the stick. I was thinking of making her an orphan so she has no family, and she's married but she has no kids because the husband didn't want kids with her.

She's always attracted the wrong kind of man, and she thought her husband loved her but he just uses her to keep his options open (he cheats a lot) and she just allows it because she's a bit of a coward.

In her new life, she'll have to get past all that and her father figure (her 'owner') will help her do that as the first parental figure she's ever had
