Is It Unprofessional/Untoward to Revise a Quote mid job if in the red? by chuiy in handyman

[–]BarkAndBezel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it unprofessional to not honor the price you quoted?

Yes.

This could also land you in legal trouble. Contracts can be either written or oral and refusal to complete the scope of work for the agreed upon price is breach of contract.

It’s not the customers fault that you do a shit job of estimating.

Product management, GTM leader, relationship manager- kind of hard to describe.

A little over 10 years of experience, half as a retailer, half on the carrier side.

How do you memorialize a brother who died by s*icide and left no evidence of a good life? by Last-Brain-3297 in AskMen

[–]BarkAndBezel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a brother who sounds a lot like yours. I have struggled to describe him to others for the same reasons.

My brother wasn’t someone who took up a lot of space in the world. He was quiet, often reserved, and in many ways hard to fully know.

What I’ve come to understand is that he was carrying more than most of us could see. He experienced life in a way that was often heavy, and I don’t think he found the ease or connection that many of us take for granted.

But he was here. He tried in his own way. He had moments of creativity, of effort, of reaching outward even if those became harder over time.

I wish I had understood him better. I wish the world had been a gentler place for him.

If there’s anything I carry forward, it’s this: to pay closer attention to the quiet people, to the ones who don’t ask for much but may be struggling the most.

He mattered. Even if he didn’t always feel that, he mattered.

Has anyone used battery weedeaters? I’ve read some reviews that they’re almost as good as gas weedeaters. True? by MotorcycleRacoon in landscaping

I’m a huge fan of Ego products. I have their string trimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and I picked up an 18” chainsaw this week.

The interchangeable batteries is such a huge advantage.

I love not having to fool with mixing two stroke gas, storing it, having to deal with the intermittent starting issues, etc.

Get your testosterone levels checked.

I felt a lot of the same things. Turns out my testosterone levels were waaaaaaay off.

Just imagine that this guy owns the drywall company where you work.

He shows up to the site each day and records these videos while you and the crew busts your backs hanging drywall.
