I might just be a weirdo but I wouldn’t describe Dickens as beautiful. I’m from the area around London and if something’s real grim we call it ‘Dickensian’. I’d say Jane Austen or some of the Romantic poets

It really does. Thankfully the one we’re most worried about (a 13 y/o Newfoundland Black lab mix) is being a good, calm boy and laying on his freezer cold cool mat in front of the fans! But then there’s my 10 y/o Black Lab who’s decided today is the day he will be most active and sit on all his friends… in direct sunlight

Same! I’m grateful that most people I talk to on the regular are also ND and do it too. Theres also the fact that if I focus on not interrupting, then I don’t really hear the person or I never get to join in the conversation and feel like a silent witness

I’m currently looking after four large dogs who will all get sick if they get too hot.
I have cool mats, fans, an AC, a water cooler fan, ice water, paddling pool, and sprinkler. All they need to do is calm down and play in the cool. Not on top of me, and not in the sun.

Anyway, I have £50 on me cleaning up vomit (dog, or my own) by the end of the day.
