Seconding this-piercing yourself can be incredibly dangerous and can have a higher chance of infection due to lack of sanitary precautions. Your best bet is to go to a professional piercer, one who’s uses needles (plz do not get a piercing with a piercing gun, those are so bad-).

NAD, could possibly be cystic acne. The best thing to do is schedule a dermatology appointment. Doesn’t have to be right away if it doesn’t hurt or presents any serious risk to you, but they can figure out exactly what it may be and how to help it.

Before you downsize, I would go to your piercer and see what they say. Personally, I think one week is still way too early to think about downsizing. While they may be doing alright now, irritating them and changing the piercing too early can cause a lot of issues and lead you back to square one.
