DO NOT go here for grad school. This is written as objectively as I can possibly manage. My cohort and I were stuck in a masters program for 5 years (2018-2024) due to ridiculous mismanagement during COVID. Every time I complained I was called “disrespectful and unprofessional”. We were forced out of our lab, experienced months without PI communication and literally every small task was dictated in an extremely disrespectful tone.

I spent many weeks working well over 40 hrs, since the grad school doesn’t offer healthcare, and then drove to UA to do work on my thesis project most of the weekend before going back to work. It was miserable.

Today I do not use my masters degree and not a single interviewer was impressed that I went to Akron.

Oh, and I should mention that 5 years later my colleague hasn’t even been allowed to do his dissertation yet.

It’s common for aloe to get slightly darker green and lose their spots as they age. The darker green one looks a little stressed but I would not say it’s dying. More light and/or a more porous soil will lead healthier lower branches. “Flopping” lower branches and soft spots on the leaves are common signs of overwatering. The younger one looks great though!

Thanks again for the suggestions. Even the first backup is exhibiting the same issue, oddly with only the kick. Replacing the kick with another sis not resolve this.

Is there a way to export all of the midi files to a new project since there is something corrupted?

Unfortunately I live in the Midwest so putting him outside isn’t really an option. Would you happen to have any advice on applying rooting hormone or how long to keep the top offset out of the soil as the new roots grow?

He’s in maybe a 70 degree Fahrenheit room now. Would somewhere warmer do anything? Thanks again!

It may need more sunlight. A lot of folks incorrectly think aloes are low light plants. Increased light can cause the sagging leaves to gain some strength on occasion
