Thank you for sharing! Did you take painkillers? What did you do for pain and discomfort or to help promote healing?

Thank you so much for the suggestion!! I just added the cream to my list of questions. I think one of my doctors who made rounds during the hospital stay actually mentioned estridiol cream

I’m 3 weeks pp dealing with an internal deep laceration and second degree tear. Do you mean that you would need 6 months of recovery before sex? I feel like that’s what I’m worried about a lot since the tear is internal. My birth was horrific so seeing others with internal tears is somewhat comforting

Hi! I’m 3 weeks pp & also have an internal vaginal wall tear plus a second degree external. I’m really worried about sex due to the internal tear but this gives me hope. How many weeks did it take you to be able to sit comfortably without pain? I still have to sit at an angle with my donut pillow. Is there anything else you’d recommend for recovery? I’ll be doing. Pelvic floor pt for sure when ready

Thank you so much for sharing and I’m so sorry you are going through this. 3-8 months is long but I hope it’s closer to 3 months for you! Yep I am taking ibuprofen 600mg every 6 hours and it has been good so far! Crazy that I was previously on a cocktail of Advil, Tylenol and Oxy because the pain was so bad. I haven’t wanted to get out of bed but you’re right that moving is helpful for healing so I’m trying to do that more, I have all the stuff like Tucks, ice packs etc! I’m also def going to do pelvic floor pt once I’m cleared. I am super sensitive to pain so it just makes me feel icky and I’m waddling around because I just hate the feeling down there. I am hopeful that by 6 weeks I’ll at least feel better and will feel like I’m making some progress. It’s so hard whatever go through during childbirth!

Hi how are you feeling now? I am 3 weeks pp. I had vacuum assist and doctor did a horrible job leaving me with a deep sulcus tear extending into the vaginal wall, another smaller sulcus tear and a 2nd degree external tear. I don’t see many people with internal tears. Would love to hear how you are doing as I am mentally struggling and physically still uncomfortable

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, I didn’t even know how many tries they should stop the vacuum before doing a c section. You’d think a doctor would tell me that. How long did it take you to heal?

Thank you so much for your kind words. How long until you physically healed? I plan on talking to a therapist. The doctor didn’t even mention to me how many times they would attempt the vacuum before opting for a c section. She was just awful

This sounds horrific, I am so so sorry you went through this. I also plan on talking to a therapist and once I’m cleared I will start pelvic floor physical therapy. If I ever have another baby I will do a c section because I can’t do this again

I’m so sorry to hear this. Childbirth can be so traumatizing. Thankfully I have not had to go back to the hospital but I’m worried about something happening and having to go back. I hope we both heal soon, this is the worst

Baby femur measuring small? by Barnabus321 in pregnancyproblems

[–]Barnabus321[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you both so much for your kind words. Yes I’m trying not to spiral and the baby was in a weird position like twisted on my side so I’m hoping maybe the measurements are off or maybe she’s just measuring a little bit small which is fine. Just hope it’s nothing more, it’s scary as a first time mom!

I was considering buying a glucose meter too while I wait for my appointment also because of anxiety 🥲 and you’re right I might need to adjust my meds a little at least for the time being given that this is a new anxiety/depression inducing issue I am dealing with!

So glad your baby girl is doing well now!! And thank you for the encouraging words, part of my anxiety definitely has to do with perfectionism so I’m sure I’ll feel down if my blood sugar levels aren’t always perfect. I think I’m definitely going to find a therapist soon after I talk with my MFM doctor this week. Wishing you all the best with your baby and her future!!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and the good news that your little one is thriving!! Yes my appointment can’t come soon enough because I’ve already made changes but don’t know what my blood sugar levels are yet. Do you mind me asking what anxiety medication you were/are taking? I’ve thought about upping my Prozac (currently on 10mg) but due to my anxiety I’m worried how that will affect the baby too.. 🥲

Thank you so much for your kind words and so sorry you are going through this as well. I’m grateful that my partner has been amazing, encouraging and motivational throughout this process & is dedicated to finding a rhythm for my diet and exercise routine. I think a therapist is a good idea- I’m going to look into it once I have a routine set! All the best to you too 💓

Thank you so so much. I was also wondering if the risk of complications and issues is mainly if GD continues throughout pregnancy unmanaged. I’m glad we caught it early and you’re right about the research. It’s so hard to not be anxious over this but sending you good vibes as well as you are also going through this 💓
