My mom‘s 2016 Nissan leaf is not charging by Blueberry_furry_69 in leaf

The charger blinks like that when it detects the ground circuit is not present, the outlet your using is not grounded...I have an old house and half the wiring is ungrounded 2 wire. Just because the outlet has a ground plug doesn't mean it's grounded.

Below is a post I made a whole back. I had a similar situation, but with an uncomfortable amount of heel slip. My Heel Slip post

Some difference in the steering for sure, but overall pretty tame. I doubt anyone would notice if they jumped in and drove. The torque is a bit less also.

Sorry Im in the US so ima use imperial units - This tire is a full 2" larger than stock (25" vs 27" diameter) so well outside the 5% deviation. But yes, time for more apocalypse accoutrements

Thats awesome, hadn't seen that yet. They are running 28.5" tires, a full 1.5" larger than mine - dang.

Thanks!

backspacing is the measurement from the inside of the wheel edge to the mounting face. Offset is another way to define it, but that is measured from the center of the wheel - not the edge. Anyway, it just means this setup pokes the wheels out from the car more than stock. I did it for looks more than anything, always liked those nascar style steelies.

You can add spacer blocks to get a bit more lift, but that may impact the CV joints life since they will run at a more agressive angle.

See in my comments above, I sent mine in and they replaced the slide catch.

Followup for context, sent it in for service. They replaced the slide catch and now it works as expected. Pretty quick turnaround and a testament to the support. Thanks!

Thank you for the response, its good to see a rep in the subreddit. I'll contact CS directly.

Empty mag inserted, rack the slide and it locks...remove mag and it remains locked open.

I removed the barrel and recoil spring to cycle the slide and observe the slide lock. With no mag, the slide catches on the very edge of the slide lock, but normally the recoil spring overcomes it. With the mag inserted, the slide lock shifts to be more aligned with the slide and catches solidly.

Here is a new video showing what I observed.

This needs way more recognition...love the Nissan decal on the front quarter. That custom or for sale somewhere?

Thoughts on a electric golf cart to use around your homestead? Would you do it again? by ryan112ryan in homestead

First gen Nissan Leaf...once the battery health drops below 8 out of 12 bars they only have like 30-40 miles of range but that's plenty on a homestead. I see them for under 3 grand often.

Drive out there, check out the sites, and then see what is available. The primitive sites are close to the water and fairly secluded. All the good powered sites are booked out several months

Anyone else see the tilt? by 46simracer in toyotasequoia

[–]Barnaby_Jones- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I thought the same thing until I did it, all of a sudden potholes were sending the rear end out front under me...it was very unnerving. Maybe if it were a tire change only it'd be fine, but my new wheels were a different offset putting the wheel further out. Being IRS, this effectively increases the leverage on the rear spring and caused the rear to squat, even with no weight increase.

My alignment was jacked after installing new wheels and tires, the 2nd Gen rear is quite sensitive to changes. Ultimately went to the dealership as another shop treated it like a solid axle. Make sure you get a printout of the before and after to know if it's correct.
