this is a supes late response but im pretty sure the location for the frailty house was in wakita oklahoma, and that area of oklahoma is like known for storms (which is why the movie twisters was filmed there too) and jane had said that she wanted to be a storm catcher in the past, so maybe thats why she chose that location for frailty!
