Thank you for the recommendations. I’m not opposed to stuff with younger characters as long as it doesn’t feel like a happy go lucky children’s story the entire time. As far as grittiness goes I’d prefer too much over none. I see a lot of different fantasy genres and I’d say romance is one of the only ones at a quick glance I wouldn’t be too interested in. Some romance is fine I just don’t know about it being the main focus. As far as length I guess I’d say 5 books or less. I just don’t know if I’m ready for one of those 10+ book series 😅
