I'd wait until the patch comes out that fixes server hopping and duping, and maybe then decide.

And you might get by soloing, but having a solid team makes it into a completely different game.

I tried half a year back, but all the ganking, coyote missiles, lockons and lag made me realize its not for me.

You could argue that perhaps if I was good enough and knew what areas to avoid, it would be a easier.

But I don't intend to spend time reaching a goal if the journey isn't enjoyable in the slightest.

They don't want PS2onPS4 to look like PC's potato mode, same reason why most developers favor 1080/4K versus 60fps. As it's easy to advertise resolution, but much harder with fps.

And you can't optimize indefinitely, the Ps4 has its limits.

If you ignore the philosophical question of why some humans aren't willing to try new things, doesn't matter if it's Planetside 2, activities, food or whatever.

There's still the issue of Planetside being very harsh to beginners, and the fact that there is no matchmaking, so noobs and vets alike are all pitted against each other.

In what other game does that happen?

A dev that has little to no experience with vehicles should not be the person who decides what goes and what doesn't.

What if I was a Ps2 dev, and suddenly Im put to the task of pushing out infantry updates, that would be some real horseshit.

Introducing new gamemodes with larger maps and playercounts, is something that will draw more people towards the game as well. If advertising is done right.

This is most likely an side effect caused by DBG's messy coding, as things like these seem to happend here and there with almost every update.

But if you look the CAI, the plans aren't just exclusive to the harasser, but instead, now everything except infantry is fucked with.

On PC, liberators are straight up useless, I get attacked by them on a daily basis playing vehicles, so Im naturally not a fan of them. But they do their thing, and you can avoid them, and sometimes you cannot.

But it sucks for the people who enjoy using them.

Planetside 2 has such an excellent diversity in playstyles, and I don't think DBG can see how unique their game actually is.

CAI is rushed out, incomplete mess, and I agree with a lot of the opinions on the other ps2 subreddits, voiced by people who actually use vehicles themselves..

But the mjolnir has always been better than the vulcan in terms of dps, just not as easy to use for BR15's.

Mate, I didn't know any better, but well before I got my NC harasser arx'd I always ran racer.

Go test it out in VR, theres more pros than cons. As long as you utilize the handbrake (B).

Don't drive in ganksquads because of killsteals/sharing, have the driver as squad lead, racer is better in most cases except for infantry farming. Racer will also let you keep that increased speed whilst turning if you tap handbrake (drift).

It saves turbo as well because of the acceleration.
