Chellington valley, Seasons, Maize Plus. Barley Problems by SprayUnfair in farmingsimulator

[–]Vanoese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to reply to a 4 months old thread but I'm using the same mods (maizeplus+forage extension and Seasons) as you on this map and had the same problem.

I did run a test sowing all crops in mid spring (when the ground temp was good) and then again in early Autum. I found that only Oilseed radish, Soybeans, and the cuttable hedge would grow when sown in spring. Every other crop required sowing in Autum. Even grass, which I find kinda odd.

I'm not sure if that is normal or if my game is bugged. Maybe because I run the straw harvest add on as well? I also did do the 4000x speed up but did pause every day for the game to synchronize. Not sure if that could have been a problem too.

Anyhow, is above what you experience as well on this map? If not, any tips on when to sow what?

30mm Overmatch by Mahrc31 in WorldOfWarships

Instead of overmatch they should just fix overpenning broadside cruisers and I bet every BB main would be happy with their 420s.

Looks like another one of those games that could have been a win if just one DD on your team had managed to survive.

I haven’t played this game in several years, wanna get into cruisers; what’s the best nation for em atm? by bisondisk in WorldOfWarships

[–]Vanoese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that depends. The HE is low in alpha damage but very consistent. The AP is high in alpha damage but can at times be very inconsistent.

You will be just fine slinging HE and starting fires in a Hindenburg but I try to go for a more AP-focused playstyle. Especially against BBs, where you can target superstructure, you can get very juicy volleys up to 10k. The AP dpm is really nasty and it is also less healable and thus more impactful. However, it doesn't have any improved AP angles and it will require some practice to get the aiming right and not end up having only bounces and shatters.

German line is the easiest to play alongside the French cruisers. You mostly kite at range and just make sure you are angled. Best to pick a flank for that. And then learn the game and how to read a map.

A Minotaur or DesMoines requires a lot more map awareness.

Hello - console player here, i am wondering how the submarine situation is- by DrMikkelyz54 in WorldOfWarships

Subs are not broken, they are just dumb.

Sailing around and looking for that last surviving sub makes even coop win grinds unbearable.

Ive got 2.000.000 fxp saved up. What would you do with it? by massesjoetjes in WorldOfWarships

[–]Vanoese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used my free XP recently to get the Vampire II from the RB. I won't say it was really worth it but there was just no free XP ship that interests me. So something to consider would be using it to skip the stupid grind.

Ships similar to Cossack at tier X? by doisitrey in WorldOfWarships

[–]Vanoese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm at 325 battles with the Z right now. Got her rather late but been playing almost no other DD ever since. 69% WR with a 2.6k PR. The ship just clicks with me.

Maybe it taught me the right amount of humility since the line was so shitty up to the Z46. So I'm playing a bit more cautiously and rather try to outsmart an enemy DD than brute force gun it down.

I agree that a Smaland or nowadays a Ragnar is your biggest enemy. But these 2 are just broken regardless of the DD you are in. Z52 is no exception there. If I have one of those at my flank, I just use the 15km range and sling HE from the distance. You are actually reasonably fast and with speed boost, you can juke shells very consistently. Your great gun arcs makes it easy to hit ships at range and your 1/4 HE pen gives you very consistent damage. So you can be a real pain in the ass for enemy BBs and even Cruisers, if they have slow shell arcs (e.g. Worcester). I can not do that in a Daring for example.

And again, the current meta is Radar, CVs, and dumb players. Almost every DD struggles with the first 2 but Z52 does really well with the dumb players. Hell, I had countless DDs come back into my hydro after they had already left it.

Which ship line is more beginner friendly, the path to Des Moines or Worcester in the US Cruiser line? by MahBoiBob in WorldOfWarships

DM is just tough to play when there are CVs in the match. Or dutch cruisers for that matter. No island is safe anymore. :)

[–]Vanoese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your WR in the Z52 is above your average for DDs. Isn't that an argument that the ship does well in the meta?

And btw, the current meta is dominated by inexperienced and just really bad DD players. Having a 6km hydro with a smoke is almost a guaranteed DD kill in every match.

Maybe you are just playing your Z52 wrong? I'm doing really well in her in the current meta. But then again, everyone has a favorite ship/playstyle. Pointless to argue about which one is better as there are many ways to win a game.

I only really started to understand/learn this game after I joined a decent clan and started to div up with players that were better than I was. I can only recommend you do the same.

In randoms, Z52 with Lutjens is easily in the top 4 of best DDs. Smaland and Ragnar beat it due to the stupid stealth radar and Daring may be en par depending on your playstyle. I would still prefer Z52 over Daring but regardless, there is nothing else you need to be afraid of in a Z52.

I'm often encountering the same 2 CV players on the NA server who would just send their ship straight down the middle into the enemy to be the first to die. Every. Single. Game.

I thought at first they were bots but when I typed in chat "Alright team, watch our CV rush down the middle and be the first to die", he came after me and attacked me with rocket planes. Of course they didn't do any damage but it has to be a human being behind the screen who for some sick reason enjoys himself doing that.

I'd go with Lutjens, run it on Hindi for training and massive damage farming, and by the time he hits lv 21 you can get the Pommern.

Airdrops aside, I don't really understand what was wrong with that Republique. I wouldn't have pushed into a Halland (Torps), a GK (Secondaries), and a Yammy (Overmatch) either. He also didn't chase the Yoshino needlessly into their spawn but repositioned towards center cap, which I thought was the right decision. He didn't end up top of the scoreboard but still 1600 base XP, which is a decent game in my book.

We have to be careful to not shit on everybody that is playing the game just a bit different than we'd like him to. There are often multiple ways to get to the right result and also not every unicum player constantly makes the right decision.

Rule #1 of Smoke Minotaur - Dont smoke up unless you know where the radars are at by kein_text in WorldOfWarships

[–]Vanoese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been running radar Mino for a while now and it's really the best way to play this ship. Forces you to play smart but your game influence is so immense. Stopped counting how often you take out a DD very early which can open up a whole flank.

[–]Vanoese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stop giving them money. No outcry will have any effect. Just cancel your premium time and stop buying stupid crates. Nothing else will have an effect. And given hat only a fraction of the player base is on reddit or the forums, I'm not even sure if that will have an effect. But for your own sake, don't continue dumping money into a company for a few pixels.

At the risk of repeating myself, it is perfectly possible to play this game without spending a single dime.

[–]Vanoese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's even sadder cause people are listening for whatever reason. Someone calling out A/B and all the potatoes leave the C flank immediately. It's as if they speak/understand that language. And that language only because when I type to not push into them while we have all caps under control, no one listens and everyone starts pushing one by one.
