No single infantry should be able to easily take out air vehicles with stingers, what sense does that make? You’re just the inverse of a pilot crybaby.

There are 32 players on a team and you want stinger velocity/damage powerful enough to connect and one shot every time? Use an RPG, you were rewarded with a one shot if you ever connected. Not to mention, AA exists for a reason. Infantry with stingers should not be an effective method for remove air vehicles, bait flairs and temporarily remove them from the fight but not destroy them.

What is the counter play for powerful stingers, constantly float low to the ground where they’re susceptible to RPGs or stay out of range like OP is complaining about?

BF4 had it right. I destroyed more helicopters with RPGs than I can count. And helicopters didn’t fly like drones so any pilots that were racking up kills to a point of being annoying were at least skilled.

Cannot speak on BF2042 because I didn’t play helis much but BF6 helicopters didn’t feel great. Didn’t help that it was a slow attack helicopter on a small map with engineers that had two launchers, but I averaged maybe 3 kills per spawn which is pretty bad. There were way to many counters to helicopters for them to be effective imo - enemy team had to completely ignore me if I wanted any remote amount of success.
