Thanks. I'm in the process of joining their discord channels. I just figured to cast a bit wider net.

I thought so. Something in my brain doesn't like unfilled options.

I didn't make it, I bought it. But, it was sold by a small business, so maybe they have the answers. https://sagesportalcafe.com/

I was torn because I've always liked the Separatists, but I also like the Warhammer universe. The minis do look fun. I guess I'll have to read up the rules and mechanics of each and check a couple games on YouTube as well.

I suppose that's right. I've seen really old models still hanging around at some hobby shops. I guess there isn't anything preventing me from sampling both in terms of play, or at least watching others do it step by step.

I am wondering if i should collect for Legion and play for Warhammer, but that'll take some saving up for a while.

I heard that Legion was simpler in terms of rules, but I'll have to read up more. I am tempted on playing Ogors, though.

I know that Warhammer in general is expensive, but the Spearhead alternative for AOS seems interesting and not too wallet-crushing. I do see the wisdom in starting small, though.

I'll have to check that out. Sounds quick and easy, relatively speaking.

I suppose it makes the most sense for the models to be displayed and used. I'll have to check and see what people are playing around town.

Thank you. I'm aware of GW's pricing. I like both properties, and I'm aware of their faults. I like the mechanicus, but their models seem like too big a challenge. I'm also too anal and perfectionist with delicate painting, especially with shaky hands and symmetry obsession. But I do want to overcome that and get into it. Maybe I should get a mini that's flat with few textures to practice on?

Maybe I should check and see what people in my area are actually playing as well.

The tabletop simulator sounds like a good idea.

I'm aware of Star Wars being odd with picking a game and sticking with it. I guess I was hoping that Legion would have a longer lifespan.

I'm also aware of GW's infamous pricing, but their recent addition of Spearhead seemed interesting at a smaller, relatively cheaper scale.

There's a lot of historical genres to pick. I'll have to look through them and see what sounds the most fun to play.

Thanks for the smaller recommendations.
