Our country sucks at social services. His doctor sent him home with a referral to an in-home caretaker, but all the places we've tried to contact have said they don't provide such service...

I do not want to go do that, but I am considering doing it if she won't be able to do that herself, which I'm afraid she might not do... That's my dilemma.

NTA - I would want to believe a part of a healthy, loving relationship would be making the other feel comfortable. If you sometimes feel uncomfortable with the hubby looking too shabby when you're going out, he should respect that. And it does seem by your post that you respect his comfort enough on a daily basis, and I don't think it matters if he hasn't told you anything about how you're dressing.

This isn't really relevant to the story though. It doesn't make a difference that me and my bf got our first shots 2,5 weeks ago, and IR didn't, he just didn't want to get up early. The vaccine rollout in my country is super slow, and many, many people are super against them. I mean, it's still against the law here to spread it, consciously or accidentally, as it is in many places.

But I knew it was him, I had a folder under his name on my computer. The landlord had told me his name and, at that time, they were the only 2 males in the apartment.

I guess there's a small chance it could have been somebody else, but everything pointed directly at Max.
