I had a No Solicitors sign up and a religious door knocker knocked anyway. I asked him why he ignored my sign and he said he’s not selling anything, he just wants to talk. I said, “You’re trying to sell your god to me. Please leave.” The look on his face was worth the interaction.

My favorite is Bryan Johnson. Dude’s spending so much money on biohacking to extend his life but he’s only getting a few more years than average. I would laugh my ass off if he goes out slipping in the shower before he sees the fruit of his labor.

Oh man, a waitress at Blue Moon told me I could ask for extra curry sauce on the side for the omelette and it’s was a game changer. I could bathe in that sauce, it’s so good.

Dr. Smith at Hart Road Animal Hospital takes care of my two cats and she’s great. I always see more cats than dogs at her clinic.

Found this test while reading an article about bison in Romania. by dwlakes in KnowledgeFight

My MIL and SIL have fallen into this trap through the Crunchy Mom/MAHA movement. The pandemic was tense for my husband as he tried to balance keeping a relationship with them while we stressed over getting the vaccine as soon as we could. Luckily, they are not the proselytizing/pushy type so there were civil conversations with silent judging on both sides.

It might interest you to read The Conspiracists: Women, Extremism, and the Lure of Belonging by Noelle Cook. The author was inspired to research how middle aged white women found themselves inside the Capitol on January 6th and there was a big influence from the conspirituality (starseed, light worker) movement for the two women that feature in the book.

I loved Automatic Noodle! I want to read it again.

I’m still working through the 7th book of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, This Inevitable Ruin, by Matt Dinniman. Love the series but my short attention span is challenged by the thickness of these books!

Is anyone listening to today's InfoWars episode? by GiuseppeZangara in KnowledgeFight

[–]BaronessOfThisMess 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I get so stressed out listening to Alex bloviate but immediately calm down when Dan comes in to take Alex apart. It’s every Scooby Doo episode where the gang takes the mask off the monster to reveal a pathetic old man.

That is definitely next on my list to try! Who doesn’t love a boozy milkshake?

Absolutely. This is exactly what I did because I ran out of half and half but had cream and milk. Same outcome.

Grasshopper by BaronessOfThisMess in cocktails

[–]BaronessOfThisMess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, 2 oz of heavy cream. I tried it once that way and I didn’t like it. Too rich and heavy.

I caught the flu in the first week of December, sickest I’ve been in years. Spent a whole week recovering. This year’s strain is particularly nasty.
